Tried to take some "down low" shots with a new lens. Hope you like them, tried to get a sense of being there.

Nikon D90 with a Tokin 17-50 zoom set at 17mm and f32. I just place it on the layout and use live view for focus and hope for the best. Picked up the idea in Model Railroader, but with N scale it's really impossible to get low enough for what I'd like to do.

Thanks Katy, I have a D50 and hate the thing. It has no rear screen shot alignment ( which I didn't know. I thought all digital cameras had it).I bought it on Ebay new but just screwed up.
I am stuck taking all my shots and video with the Nikon Coolpix S210.

all I can say is, "WOW!" Your scenery skills are awesome, thank you very much for sharing. It's very nice to see a layout that doesn't require a 2nd mortgage and a gym to house it! I keep planning that elusive dream layout, but realize that I could get the same satifaction in 1/4 of the space and time. thanks again and please keep sharing the pics.
