Just finished the tumbler, and let me tell you that it is a paper folding nightmare. Almost as hard as the alien paperworks. I had to modify some of the fits due to vague instructions, but over all, it came out rather nice. I practiced on the wheels and they came out all right. I did not fold them as per instructions but rolled them to size and sanded the corners round. Because of this they are super heavy and I used a wooden dowel for the axle. Other than that the rest is all aper. Enjoy the model and good luck to all who attempt this build. And keep it away from the kiddies, they want to play with it.

as usual, another great model from silveroxide

Thanks 8-ball; This was one of my first build and introduced me to extreme paper folding, (What a nightmare). The only models that surpass this in the folding department are the one from ALIENS.

Yes its a very difficult model! I finished my Tumbler model last year.
If you want to avoid "playing" with the model, put it behind glas (build a diorama)!

Silveroxide,

That is totally awesome, the texture on the vehicle is spot on, I really cannot believe it's made from card...

Superb, just superb.

Silveroxide; In actuality I believe I did mine after seeing yours, and some one else's who did a short build thread. If I were to attempt it again, I believe it would come out better.
This was one one my first posting on this forum. I learned a lot about paper folding with this model.

Silveroxide: Coming from you and your magnificent models that is a compliment.

Thank you. Just downloaded it there :thumb:

If you feel comfortable with it, do a build thread on it. The front on this model is too wide from the movie version. It should be closer together. There is another build on this that explains it but I can't remember who did it.

Silveroxide,

This look GREAT. You do amazing work. This has to be my favorite vehicle from "Batman". I have this model on my "TO DO" list (but I am saving it for last. I need more time learning all of the tricks of the trade.).
Keep up the great work.

This is one of my first models and it has a lot of deficiencies but not that noticeable. I learned a lot with this build which I have incorporated into other builds, but folding was a nightmare and some of the parts were ambiguous as to where they fit. Good luck if you should attempt it. I am sorry that I did not do a build sequence like I usually do.

Great build Silveroxide! This is the model that introduced me to the world of papercraft. I was looking for blueprints/schematics for the Tumbler... and found PaperInside. Unfortunately being unemployed and out of (Epson) ink, I haven't been able to build it yet.

Although I think this is an awesome model, as is all of Claudio's models, I think someone has outdone him on the Tumbler. I just found this last night. I would post the link, but I don't know the original designer. The site I got it from is a depot for all sorts of models. I don't think I can post it here, but here is the pic...

I hope that it is a separate keyboard and not the laptops. Easier to replace a single unit than the whole thing. While I am pleased with it and I keep it away from the grand kids I still could have made a better one. This was indeed a learning curve in paper modeling.

The other models that can give you the experience of folding are the ALIENS papercrafts. That dropship and the APC are paper folding nightmares as well.

Thanks for the comment munnrah

Good luck on the build fireroze. Be sure to browse around for more detail work. Look for the front wheels to be closer together. You may have to adjust the panels to accomplish this.
