hello to all,

i am new to this forum. i have been out of model railroading for about 11 yrs.. i had an N-scale but sold it when i moved to the man who bought the house... since there have been MANY advancements in Z-scale; this is what i want to build... i have seen a lot online but i want to know.... is there a LARGE starter set out there (1200.00 or so)??? should i just get a starter set and buy another larger track pack to go with it?? there was nothing but swiss stuff for z-scale back then and now i see a lot..

thanks for any help

I believe Marklin & Miniature Trains are the main manufacturers offering Z-Scale equipment. You might want to check out what is going on at eBay, as you can get brand new stuff for less than store prices...Good luck..!!

I think the "danger" of doing business on eBay is overstated...I've done over 400 transactions there, both buying and selling, and have been bilked ONCE...$14+ bucks went down the drain. That's better odds than doing business at the corner store....
