Hi guys, the Mobile is coming along slowly, I had a brain-fart on monday and tried to take a job out of my oven at work by hand:cry:, it was 360 degrees:eek:ops:. I soon dropped it but my hand is a bit sore at the moment so the build is going slower than my normal snail pace:p. Phil, I love your ramblings, you only have to look at the amount of views on this thread to see how many memories you have bought back to loads of people:thumb::thumb:

The paw is a bit tender, 28 years of doing the same job and never done anything that daft before:p, I guess i'm getting to that age:cry:.
I had to cheat a little on the tracks as i couldn't get them to sit right when doubled over, so i just printed them out and did a print of the inside colour on the back of the page. Got the little pieces around the cockpit to do next, but will have to wait for the blister on my forefinger to heal a little.

Ok here's some PICTURES !

Yo there guys. I cut off the glue tabs and put card strips on the back of all parts to make butt joints ! this makes the skin smooth, but caused problems with the size of the parts to be glued :curse: to overcome this; all the formers had to be reduced in size by one card thickness alround so that the ends of each part would meet. I made large square cutouts for the missile tubes to go in easier because they were attached to the hull parts first.... what an headache hamr So without delay i will upload the pictures in 4 weeks time :p

Good idea with the tracks Mick and they look the business {the sag is just right} Keep that blister well away from your paper models cos if it bursts you will really CURSE - i'm a poet and didn't know it  nice job :thumb:

Looking real nice Pete:thumb:, I really must get back to mine. Having crashed and burned with all my clever ideas I shall content myself with a more straight forward build.I intend to butt join the skins as well but I'm hoping to put the tabs on the side of the formers to save resizing them/Fingers crossed it might actually work this time:mrgreen:

I'd go with your plan there matey :thumb: because taking a tiny amount off all the formers took what felt like a life time {very tedious} :v8: Although you say she looks o.k, i am still not convinced that i have done the best i can and a nagging inside my head says RE-START hamr I hope you manage to do a little bit to yours my friend.
