Scatch Built Viper

Silver,

Viper looks great, looking forward to seeing the finished product. Currently working on my MK VII. The landing will be all scratch build, love this almost as much as you guy come with this stuff.:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::thumb: Hope to build your kit soon with a few modes of my, with you permission of course.

No permission needed, go for it, we all learn from each other and receive constructive criticism at times. When we stumble, we learn from our mistakes.

This build was scratched and will start over again. Here are a few frustrating pics and the updated schematics of the full interior cockpit as well as the ribs and bulkheads :wave::wave::wave:

go easy with yourself, and look at your project from afar and take a breather....

going good with the landing gears.....

BTW, since i am almost done with my |Mk2, and also in progress with my Mk7, whats your recomendations for simulating the side creases which accentuate the top fuselage of the craft?

I have yet to build the MK VII, but the process of the crease is as follows

The easiest way is to cheat, by using basswood, rounding the edges and then gluing paper around the edge. But if it is with paper, I would take a ice cream stick, round the edges and fold the paper and crease it with your finger nail or a dull toothpick.

My Viper is coming out much better and is ready for the engines. I will do a post later, but I am going to New jersey on a trip and will be back next Tuesday. I will have my lap top and will keep looking at the forum.

New Viper MK-II

After a few trials and errors, I am confident in my new build. I did not throw the first Cockpit away, But integrated it into my new build. There are some subtle changes as you will see as I continue the build.

The Nose

the 2's nose isnt that round...

I know Shin, I will make the traditional nose later, but this is just me playing around with the model.

Just returned from my trip, It was cold up in the North East, but bearable.

I got an Idea for the hump on the front nacelle, Going to try it out, but I will need Jay-Bats plans for it.

Your Viper.

Silver, looking good on the viper. good luck on your trip. I will post pic's this afternoon.

Looking good on the landing gear, do a build up if you can so we can see how you did it. My version is a little bit different. There were some pics that did not come out.

Great job on the recessed engine panels. On the Raptor, that bulge on the windscreen looks tricky, I may try to form it with a mold and melting the plastic on it. If not, then it will go as is.:wave::wave::wave:
