Are you sure the light is off when the fridge door is closed..? In the tunnel we know it's on...but the fridge...??
Something for "The Twilight Zone".....

Get in the fridge and close the door.
I have solved the light problem. Find out who pays the power company and fire them. the light will go out.

You know what really bothers me?

It is very easy for everyone to say, "Turn the light out...let's save some money!" Don't any of you think about The poor slob whose job it was to make sure the light was on? Oh sure, there were months that went by where I......I mean he, didn't do any actual work, but I.......I mean he, was there, just in case......you know, if "something" went wrong. I'm not even going to mention the huge amounts of over-time I........I mean he, worked out of the goodness of my......his heart. Time and a half (double time on Sundays, triple time on holidays) just doesn't go as far as it once did.

I know you people are better than that!:thumb: Let's start a grass-roots movement to save my........I mean his job!:thumb:

Now, who's with me?!......................................................................

I have a feeling that the little guy doesn't have a chance

Alright Joe see what you have started now? Tetters in reply #7 should have settled the whole problem. Why do it now when you can put it off until next year. Then Steve would have time to apply for financial aid from the government who decided to turn it off to save money. Oh I am sorry, not Steve but the guy he was speaking for.

Lester...Your approach (to the fridge conundrum) is too objective. We like (need) a little mistery in our lives...Like, who is really tending to Steve's...I mean, the light at the end of the tunnel....?? sign1sign1

The solution is obvious, the govt needs to simply buy another light bulb from the official US Light Bulb Company at a cost of $11,234.47....:patriot1::genius2:
Ooooo We can't do "that"!!! Then we would have an extra G.I Surplus lightbulb!:eek::eek:

Then we would need a separate (well protected ) place to store it, so the aforementioned "bag guys" could not infiltrate the overly secured compound and "get" the said lightbulb!!

Way toooooo much trouble - even for our government!!!

:wave:IMPORTANT GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

DUE TO RECENT FINANCIAL PROBLEMS, BUDGET CUTS, AND THE RISING COST OF ELECTRICITY, GAS, AND OIL,
THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL HAS BEEN TURNED OFF.
WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.wall1
Sorry I just had to post this.

Joe
Now I must add to this quandary. We have all been trying to figure out how to turn it off. If you read this notice carefully the government has already turned it off. As far as Steve's oops sorry poor slobs job goes its gone. Steve...............the poor slob must have been sleeping on the job or he would have noticed this since he was supposed to be watching the light. Now he can draw unemployment from the government(not as much money) but now he has all day to do what we all like. RUN A TRAIN THROUGH THAT TUNNEL. Hey Steve make it a steam loco and thumb your nose at the oil companies and Arabs

Ah...yes.., the ol' "Uncertainty Principle"....Although I believe that it is meant to be applied to quantum phenomena...not to the "macro" level....So we do know if the light at the end of the tunnel is on...or someone has done gone and turned it off....

The environmental impact is that without the light, we will all be making impacts against the environment, as in a group of blind people bumbling along a dark tunnel!

Call in the army! Use a slingshot. Problem solved.

But what about the dust mites? Get a study done to approve moving them to another habitat.

Or we could have a captive breeding program.

And as for Steve er, the poor guy who is responsible for the light, early retirement may be an option or just give him another job. I hear they need an extra person to count paper clips.
