over-reaction

I over-reacted to Squidbait's reply. I will offer no excuses, except to say that I have had a full plate as of late.
I want to apologize to Squidbat first. You describe yourself as a "curmudgeon", but you had never been rude to me before. I do still find your response to be a bit rude, but that is my opinion. Even if it was intended to be mean spirited, which I don't, I am a big boy and should have just taken it in stride.
I was a cop, a firefighter, and a paramedic off and on for about 12 years. I have had valid threats against my life and didn't react that way. I am sorry that I flew off the handle. I do appreciate the links that you left me. I had already seen the information that you had supplied, but thak you for trying to help me.

I would also like to apologize to the Mods and Peter for the "Spit Storm" that I created. Once again, no excuses. I should not have reacted that way.

And, I need to apologize to the general members. This is a great place, full of great people, and alot of great information. Don't let my momentary lapse of maturity color your opinion of this forum.

To one and all, I am sorry.
Despite what I had said before, I would love to remain a member here, if you would have me.

Once again, I am sorry.
Matt

You are not alone in that boat.
A while back I got into a bit of a tizzy over something mountain man said , at the time i had not read much of anything he had posted, actually most likely nothing. At the time I was pretty hot & showed it, since then I have come to see that Mountain man is actually a pretty decent guy ,& wish I had not jumped all over him , (didn't really do a lot of good anyway) but it's a bit late to change that . I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face tho by bailing out -- just try not to make the same mistake again.

Matt,

I'm sorry what I said set you off. I certainly didn't intend it to be taken the way you (and many others here) did.

I'm glad you've come back, and given me the chance to apologize personally.

Welcome back,

Marc

Matt...I'm glad you had a change of mind....I've always found your posts to be informative, and entertaining....

As to the other business....We all have our bad-hair days, but it takes a good man to realize that, and make amends. I'm sure you'll not regret returning to the "fold"...:thumb:

With all the external stresses these days (economy, politics, approaching winter, favorite football team losing, etc) you can expect people to be a little on edge.

I come here to get away from all that crud and hang out with some good people. It's inevitable that someone's answer may be testy from time to time, and someone's response may be over-reactive. But we all should keep in mind the external stresses that are sometimes hard to get away from.

Matt,
If you attend the iHobby Expo, in Rosemont, on the 18th-19th (open to the public), stop by the GCLaser booth and say Hi. (anyone else who sees this, feel free to do the same)

Glad to have you back Matt. I dont think anybody on here can say that they havent been in a time where thay had alot to deal with. I have that going on right now also (hopefully tommorows trip to the courthouse wll settle that:curse:) so we all can understand. But overall, like I say, glad to not have lost a valuable member!

Personally......I don't like any of you! :twisted::gaptooth:

Seriously, That turned out as well as it could have.
Perhaps, it was good that it happened. It kind of cleared the air and got everybody thinking. :winker:
But please don't make me think again....it hurts! :thumb:

Matt, welcome back. It takes a real man to apologize in a public forum, this goes for you too Squidbait.

Lets all keep in mind that other people have real lives outside of the internet forum, and maybe we should take comments less personal, realize that this forum is full of great people, great info, GREAT modeling skills, and does not affect your personal life in the slightest (unless you let it)
