In keeping with the theme of "Train barely visible in the picture" Here is mine for the week, "Train through the trees"

Here's one Jeffrey may appreciate. It's a project that has been on my "to-do" list for several years. It started as an IHC 4-4-0, but the flanges were too deep and I wanted to use code 70 rail. I also had an old MDC 2-6-0 chasis leftover from another project. As it turns out, the two fit together quite nicely. There are still a few modifications i need to make to the boiler so that it will settle down on the chasis better, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

Local freight coming into Clifton Forge yard

Don't be to critical on me here. I am hoping to show a little operations on my layout. Also trying movie editing at the same time. So try to be kind.

Well done, Les! It's good to see some operations in a video rather than a run-by. I enjoy switching much more than just watching a train run. Thanks for posting.

An adventure arrived in the mail yesterday, all for just the price of postage...and there's still one more box out there...:thumb:

Shaygetz -

I see some classics from my youth there! Many I only dreamed of getting my hands on :) Now when i see them at train shows all the time, I just pass by...

I know they're mostly older Tyco and Bachmann, but there are classics in there that are hard to resist---amazing what you can find in a barn hayloft. The Tyco auto rack with the hard to find Camaro load, a Black & Decker boxcar and a few others like that have made it worth the postage. While I still do scale work from time to time, my interests now lie in tinkering and restoring.

Kevin, those two mean I'll have to find at least three more to make up a proper five pack...sigh...

I THOUGHT SO! But why are they black? That class of car was never done in black. You only need two more to run an official miniquad, not three.

I know but I thought the black was kinda cool:thumb: As for the other, I was always taught they ran in 5 packs, so now I only have to find 2 more:thumb:
