Good morning folks

It was 63 F as I head back to work this morning. Our high today will be 78 F and we will see the sun most of the time.

No modeling this weekend. My son and I did run some trains for a while Sunday night.

It was an extremely busy weekend otherwise. It started on Saturday morning with my son working at his 5th grade Car Wash. The proceeds help to pay for his school camping trip at the end of May. We then went to the Cradle of Birding Festival at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum with our Cub Scout Pack. There we saw some animal shows, and exhibits, and took a nature hike. From there we went to Governor Printz Park in Essington to partake in the Riverfront Ramble. We toured a pirate encampment and the kids played games. Sunday my son had his first JV football game. They lost 7 to 0 but they played a great game and it was one big play that won it for the other team. My son played the entire second half on offense. After the game he said it was the funnest and best game he has played in years. Afterwards we finally did the grocery shopping.

My daughter made the middle school 7th grade volleyball team.

Ozzy we will be praying for you.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Tom - You didn't happen to have Chick-fil-et while at Gov. Printz Park, did you???? My step-daughter was the one selling most of the sandwiches.. :) :) I didn't find out about her being there until Yesterday, when we went to the Renn faire...

Not too bad a show, she said....

Conrats to the Vollyball Daughter! :) :D :) :D :)

Couldn't get on yesterday or today until now and had to page through until the end of the thread - the last link didn't work. Weird. Had a great fishing trip with lots of fishing and fun with the guys. Ozzy, I hope your surgery went well and you are back with us soon and back to the trains and other fun stuff. Congrats on the house deal, Chief - hope you get internet out there soon too. How's the fishing there?

We didn't get to Governor Printz until after 4 PM. We had dinner at Denny's on the way over so we were not looking for food. Even so I don't remember Chick-Fil-A. They may have left by the time we got there.

Good morning.

It's 71 and clear. The high will be in the upper 80's and it will be partly cloudy.

This morning I'll be going to see a certified orthotist about having a pair of shoes made. I can't just go to a shoe store and pick out a pair that I like. I wish I could. The last pair lasted 2 years and cost $350 - EACH! I don't know how much the new ones will cost. Today's visit is just to do the measurements and have the castings made. The castings will be sent to a company (in New York I think) that makes custom molded diabetic footwear. A pair of molds will be made from the castings and sent back here for a test fitting. They will then be sent back to the maker along with whatever notes and adjustments the doc comes up with. This information will then be used in the making of the shoes. Wanna know who's paying for all this? You - the American taxpayer. Thank you for making this possible.

Today's Weather for:
Sundown, LA 71446-6114 9/23/2008

Good morning folks

The van thermometer read 56 F as I hit the asphalt. We are supposed to go up to 72 F. Mostly sunny today but rain is supposed to be coming later this week.

No modeling last night.

I had to spend some time getting Cub Scout awards from the summer together for tomorrow’s meeting. We also had to run out a get a few things for the meeting.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Got the visit to the doc out of the way for now. The fitting wasn't scheduled for today. It was mainly getting the paperwork out of the way. Somewhere along the line there was a foul-up in communications. The dos got the message that I needed diabetic shoes. What I need are custom molded shoes. Big, big difference there. I go back next Tuesday (30th) for measurements and to have castings made.

Jeffrey...I'm glad to pay taxes if they went to help folks out....But bailing out Wall Street hot shots is not my idea of helping people out...

Got my Trans am serviced to day now to get it washed and spiffed up for the show on 28 th. Stupid O2 sensor went bad at least it was not the old gas cap generated glitch that would have been emarassing

Bibles

Some people don't recognize what a Masonic Bible is all about. It was probably a family "heirloom" and didn't know it. We give a new one to every candidate as they come thru.

Good morning folks

It was 62 F as I finally headed to the office this morning. High today will be 75 F and sunny. According to the guessers this will be the last time we see the sun until Sunday as rain is moving in.

I am late today because I had to drop the van off for state inspection. Hopefully it won’t cost an arm and a leg. The only thing I am worried about is the brakes.

No modeling last night.

We had a scare last night at football practice. One of my son’s friends went down during a blocking drill and could not move. He lay on the ground for about 20 minutes while we waited for the ambulance. Just before the ambulance arrived he was able to get and stand with assistance. He did go to the hospital. My son was a little upset over it. I did not see what happened because my son was working with the quarterbacks and running backs at the time and I was watching him centering.

Tonight is our Cub Scout Recruitment Night. We are hoping to pick up about 8 to 10 new scouts. I am currently aware of new boys who will be showing and potentially a third boy. We hope to get our numbers up to 30 which will give us half the number of boys that were in the pack four years ago when my incompetent predecessors took over and almost killed the pack.

My daughter also has her first school volleyball game today.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Just FYI -- If any engine sensors go bad in your car and the car is not running really bad... You should try that Fuel system cleaner ($10.00 a bottle). Follow the directions.. one per tank of gas..

Do this 3 times (yes $30.00) but still cheaper than a sensor.. i tried it in my Mustang at the recommendation of a Ford technician.. and the light went off.. 2 months later - the car passed inspection (and emissions) perfectly!!! :) :) So i KNOW it works!!!!
