Good to see you made it Jeffrey - hang in there. Nothing much going on here today. Somehow, I ended up with two copies of the August/September OGR mag? How did I do that?

Good morning.

It's 79 and very cloudy and wet. The high today is expected to be in the mid 80's and rain is very likely.

I spent much of yesterday getting my life back on track after Gustav passed through. There wasn't much damage hare, no big trees blown over. There were a lot of branches and small debris. The only damage to my home that I could find is a cracked window and that has already been tended to. My parents had a heavy patio table get blown over and the sliding screen door to the pool area got pulled out of it's frame and collapsed. Over than that it's just tree branches strewn about the yard.

Good afternoon folks

It has been a wild morning. We had to meet with a Philadelphia County Maintenance crew so we could take measurements on a major highway. We needed them to provide traffic control while we measured the roadway width in various locations. We had to find out exactly what is on the ground because we are trying to design a safe traffic control scheme during constructions and literally inches matter. The crew had to use their trucks to block traffic while we ran across the road measuring things. We had to do it at about six locations. The roadway has about 70,000 vehicles a day on at most of them traveling well over the post 50 MPH limit. To do what we needed to do without traffic protection would have been taking our lives in our hands.

No modeling last night. I am hoping for some time tonight.

Jeffery, good to hear you made it through without too many problems.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Oh Stop it!!! sign1sign1sign1sign1

Everyone knows that a person crossing ANY highway in or near PA turns the road into a Frogger Video game!!!!!!

ROFL- - I would have Loved to see the people's faces that were first in line behind the trucks, when they closed the roads :D :D :D

First day of school too - -there were all sorts of traffic problems today :( :( :(

We only closed it for maybe one or two minutes at time. Then we would let traffic pass and move on to the next spot. I have to say it was eerie feeling being on that road. It was kind of like being on the wrong side of a dam that is about to burst.

You know those roving road crews you hear about? Well for once it was us.

yeah - I know that feeling... I get it every once in a while hiking... you get to a place where you're just away from everything and it gets eerie, because you're waiting for "something" to happen.......

Good evening,

Spent the day at the Museum Library and continued to catalog photos.

Jeffrey, Take it easy and take care of yourself. Maybe to much storm stress?

Picked up my CNJ, S-2 switcher today at Cool Trains. Maybe test it later. Ted said it smokes like a teenager. They ran it on the test track when it came in.

Beautiful weather here again today.

Good morning folks

It was 67 F on the way in this morning. The air is so thick and heavy you can almost chew it. High today will be 92 F. If Hanna comes up the coast as predicated my son will be playing his first football game of the season in a tropical storm on Saturday.

No modeling last night. I had to do some last minute Back to School shopping to get items that were not on the lists but are needed now. I also did some Cub Scout stuff as we are getting ready for the beginning of the Scouting Year.

I hope everybody has a good day.
