Trying to find some Gundam kits

Hello:wave:
I have heard about gundam kits being really awesome, and after watching the final "Avatar: The Last Airbender" chapter; "Sozin's Comet," and watching the Firelord bend flames the size of <insert really large object here> for the fifth time (I watch that ep. alot:p, it's the best one in the whole series IMO), I absent-mindedly thought he looked sort of like a Gundam a bit with his special armor. Then, I thought of repainting a really big armored gundam into the colors of the firelord's armor, and equiping it with alot of flamethrowers, large cannons, and things that shoot electricity. Only problem is that I am sort of a newb when it comes to identifying gundams, and I don't know what gundam I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a gundam kit that has:
-tall build
-neat armor (if you've seen "Sozin's comet," as close to the armor as possible is prefered)
-Flamethrowers, or short of that large cannons
If anyone does, could you please tell me what kind of kit I should look for? Thanks.

P.S. Oh yeah, I frogot to say the other kit I'm looking for. It's that female one from some Gundam series, I can't remember what it was.
I know the gundam:
-was in a japaneese sailor outfit
-was for some place called "neo sweeden"
-the pilot was female and went all-out beserko or something
And the series:
-had some group with names based off of playing cards and they all died for the main chars to become the new group members after the main dudes were all infected by something that looked like snake skin
-some guy who was looking for his brother as the main dude from Japan
-the main dude rode a horse gundam into space near the series end after his rocket platform was destroyed by some ball-bot thing
-everyone wore latex suits in the gundams when they controled them
-a giant magnet under the battle platform exploded after some chip started flashing in the main guy's gundam
-the main gundam had some hand-attack that goes great with Stan Bush's "The Touch" and was switched out when it was beaten to a pulp by something to the point where it looks like Optimus Prime in the original 1985 Transformers movie after he fights Megatron
- and the main guy's GF was used to reserect the really evil gundam that looked like a reject from Spawn or something and the last battle has fought in its heart or a volcano.

Thanks!:thumb: Neat project by the way, are you using regular printer paper or special paper for that gundam? I'd like to try a paper gundam, but it would probably burn out a single color cartrage, and the prices on those things are not cheap where I am.

Actually, mine used very little ink, mostly cause it has a lot of white area. I'm using 67lb paper. A trick with printing is to either draft print or something similar. looks just as good most of the time.

Well, I think you should use some heavy Cardstock if you build that Hi-Nu, it works much more better, and it's easier than 67 :)

As for the kits, I believe the one that you're looking for is from G Gundam, and is called Nobel Gundam http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/g/gf13-050nsw.htm I don't think there's a kit available for that.
As for them fire lord armor.. Check out Pepakura's Gallery. Click on the japenese Works, and on..page 7, is Bombard Gundam. I think that's the closest , other than the Samurai gundam. All you have to do is paint it. HAve fun ^_^

You could always meld the two models and make your own model, with a little help of course.

Ah, that's the one! Thanks for the link, I was a ble to use the info to track this set down: http://plajapan.com/product_info.php?products_id=10128 . It's the only super-detailed version of Nobel Gundam I can find, but I don't think it's a kit and it only comes with God Gundam.

As for Bombard Gundam: Dang that thing is awesome! I think it would be a nice fit for making the Fire lord-based gundam, as all it needs is a reoainting along with a few more flamethrowers:p Thanks again!:thumb:

EDIT: Just tried viewing the file for both of them, and while I can easily read the instructions, my computer will NOT read the actual parts pages because they're some wierd kind of file that is unreadable.

SERBRET, from what I know from FInalpaper, and the designers homepage, he sold it a few months back. However, I'm not sure if he still is selling it, and he probably won't well it overseas.

CNWman, I'm overjoyed you liked the links, and that you found the model you've been looking for. I believe Burning Gundam does go with Nobel Gundam, at least from what I can see.

As for Bombard, I'll look into that, I'll check the problem. Happy to help :D

Not entirely off topic, since I found this while searching for gundam models, is this page here. There are many free 3d models up there, including some gundams. I thought I'd share the find here, and see if anyone would be interested in having a go at paper-ifying them :)

I especially like the heavy arms one here

perhaps someone who's "au fait" with meta/max/blender etc would like to have a look and see whether the model would require much cleaning. I'd like to try my hand at it sometime, but a model as complex as this probably wouldn't be the best starting point sign1

Thanks! My computer says that I din't have the right program to view the layouts 'cause they're .rpo or something. I can read PDF files easy, though, so if you could convert them into that kind of file, that would be great:thumb: I am new when it comes to paper models (I've only built a HAKO Hound figure with less than spectacular results), so I apreciate you guys helping me out alot!:thumb:

.rpo? Or does it say, pdo? HAve you downloaded pepakura yet? If you're still experiencing that problem, I'll see what I can do ^_^

pepakura? No, don't think I've downloaded it yet. I'd still prefer it if the files were .pdf because I don't see doing paper models as a 5th hobby among model trains, collecting Transformers, collecting Hot Wheels, and collecting Exo-Force kits (with the direction the line went after the Golden Tower though, I may be droping it as the last things that I want in that line are targetmaster rip-offs...)

Anyways, I'd still apreciate it very much if you could convert those files into a .pdf format.:thumb:

Gah, sorry it's taking me so long, I didn't have the chance to do it the last few days, I'll see if I can do it tomorrow, for sure ;)

Hi Sebret, that model is called Sky Destroyer made by One Piece.
He only sells this in printed form in color cards spreading to 24sheets and about $30 right now.
As you can see this model is unbelievably detailed and to my amazement it actually transforms into a futuristic fighter plane. It is tiny about 24cm tall and it requires some mad precision skill to build this.

Since I am in Korea, I may purchase this model and scan to make it bigger as I have no skill to build one in original size.
