hi guys, ive been VERY busy, spending alot of time with the girlfriend, work has been very busy, and ive also opened an e-bay account that i have sold LOTS of train stuff that i didnt need or want anymore. Im thinning down my rosters and getting rid of the stuff that is not BNSF or UP related. Im also keeping my CSX stuff just cuz i like the looks of there rolling stock and locos lol.

I sold my N scale Blast Furnace, Rolling Mill, and Coke Oven & Quencher, as well as all the N scale stuff i had exept for the 4 locos and the Atlas 90-Coal Hoppers. I sold all my N stuff to make some room and clear some space for new stuff. An N scale Steel Mill Layout quickly became out of the question :cry: so i sold it all. I WILL be getting them again, but next time they will be BIGGER and BETTER then the last ones!!!! Im thinking about buying the kits, building them and weathering them and then selling them again as i made some good money on them when i sold the ones i had.

Ive also listed some HO buildings from my previous layouts. The Walthers New River Mining Co. and the Coal Flood Loader are listed right now as well as the Walthers Glacier Gravel Co. My e-bay user id is bnsfmodeler123 so check out my auctions if your interested in them.

Im starting this thread to post all the stuff ive won on e-bay. I AM NOT starting this thread to make anyone jealous lol. Im on vacation right now and i wont be back until Saturday so i cant post the stuff that I have already received. I just bought 2 things this morning tho lol. One was a "buy it now" for all 4 of Atlas's brand spanking new 48' TTX Well Cars!!! I got them all for $60!!!

I also one a custom painted, decaled and super detailed BNSF AC4400 for $139 lol

Trucklover, you seem to have done well on eBay. I am a most reluctant buyer, but I've seen some pretty rare old stuff and might take the plunge and buy something.

Are you involved in the PayPal setup with eBay? How does it work? Is PayPal automatically notified when you make an offer or seal the deal, or do you have to follow up with them? Are items shipped by U.S. Mail or some other delivery service?

I appreciate the help in advance.

I'm involved with Paypal and eBay, basically, it's really quite nice.

PAYPAL
You pay someone instantly, and it shows up immediately. Same with people buying your stuff. Paypal does nickel and dime you, but it's not that bad. The Convience outweighs the cost. Make sure to open up a COMPLETELY seperate "business" account with your bank that's not linked in ANY way to your regular bank account. You can't ever be too safe in the case of internet security. I typically also try to keep 10% of my earnings from selling in there at all times so I can pay off ebay fees.

Ebay is good for the seller, and the buyer, if the buyer knows the value of what he's looking for.

You can ship however you want (UPS, DHL, FEDEX, US Postal, etc.), I prefer just shipping USPS First Class parcel post, as priority can get REALLY expensive.

I love PayPal. most buyers are going to pay with PayPal. As a seller and buyer, PayPal is AWESOME!! As Miles said, payments are instant. i however never leave more then $10 in my PayPal account balance, just as a precaution. Ive heard stories of money going missing in peoples PayPal accounts, its fraud of coarse. So i always transfer the funds i receive to my bank account. I havnt had any problems yet with e-bay or PayPal.... Knock On Wood :mrgreen: and ive built my self over 50 feebacks in less then a month from both selling unwanted/needed stuff and buying :twisted:

RE: Delivery of goods into Canada.

Beware of using couriers for delivery into Canada from the USA. The couriers will charge the Canadian receiver an additional fee for filling out forms for International destinations. The charge is in the mid $20.00. A lot of Vendors are unaware of the Courier's additonal charges. I was advised that DHL did not add a surcharge but I would advise contacting them before using their services.
