Yep - good talk! Went to a pottery place where you paint the stuff yourself with the family, then we went to Hellboy II and finished with some White Castle burgers - yummy! Man, I'm falling asleep as I type, guess I got Chief's reclineritis? That card/block container looks very nice!

Good night all. Long day. Got some pictures of Lake House and surrounding buildings. Big boats were in the water down below and at dock. T'storms ran me in and so no photos of them. Did get jet ski, golf cart and JD mower that was under big metal building. Will psot tomorrow. Got home late from In-laws as they cooked big meal but was late eating. Did get to watch The Kingdom on HBO. It is a must watch. Good night all.

Hard to believe it's Monday already. It's been a busy weekend for sure. At least I go my two F units put together and painted. Both are unusual in that they have AAR trucks, but you work with what you have on hand.

Good morning folks

It was a pleasant 67 F as I headed in this morning. They kept talking about dense fog but I did not encounter any. High today will be 87 F.

Yesterday we went to the Granite Run Mall and while we were in Boscov’s a nasty storm came up. It got dark, and there was a lot of rain and lightening. While my wife was checking out the power went out. A few moments later it came on. They there was bright blue flash inside side the store emanating from the ceiling (we were on the 2nd floor) and a loud kaboom. The lights went out again. We later found out that lightening hit a transformer on the roof of the store. That was our excitement for the weekend. We did the grocery shopping and some yard work.

No modeling this weekend.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all. Sunny and warm here in the city. Busy weekend trimming back the jungle that surrounds the house - using neighbor's trimmer I've borrowed. Hope I can have it a bit longer. I have a tendency to cut things back too far and regret it. Listened to 'The Railroad Hour' on my favorite old time radio show on Sat. Got together with my brother and his family in Chicago yesterday afternoon - he surprised me with a late birthday gift - a Plasticville cathedral! Can't wait to see the Lake house!

Morning all. Lazy morning. Breakfast, coffee, newspaper, TV and even a nap [snoozed a few minutes]. Now to get ready to do what I want. Bet that changes. The largest storage build at the lake is completley enclosed. Former owner stored his boat in it. Wired and floored. Would make a layout room of over 20 feet and over 10 feet wide. HUMMM Have a good week.

Are we losing some of our posters or is it just the Summer doldrums? It's been 8 hours since the last post! I will be taking the daughter and family to BWI tomorrow so probably won't get time to post till Wednesday. I sent in my fee for the York meet today. October 16-18 that is where I hope to be.

Just the summer doldrums. People are out seeing how badly sunburned they can get before it becomes to uncomfortable to move. Seems to be an annual ritual around here.

Who Zealot looks weird today - I think there is something wrong with the Javascript on this machine. Anyhoo, if this works, I wish everyone a good morning. It is sunny and bright here in Chicago. I noticed ground broken on the last open spot in the former yards (MILW or C&NW I think) that ran under the approaches to the former C&NW now UP downtown Chicago station. Over the years, I remember watching the tracks come up, freight houses come down and now every last bit is gone except for a line into Blommer Chocolate and one to a 1914-era bridge that used to go to the old Sun-Times printing plant (and beyond to Navy Pier)

Good morning folks

It was 75 F on the way in today. High today will be 90 F. We are again under a Heat Advisory for Wednesday.

Had a little bit of a rough morning. Foot was bothering me through the night and kept up most of the night. Once I fell asleep I slept through the alarm and had to rush out the door. Of course I have been in meetings all day. They seem to be longer than usual since I am fighting the effects of little sleep and pain medication.

No modeling last night. I am hoping for some later this week.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Started at midnight yesterday. I had to go out and come through the main menu. The old saved address in favorites will not work. Saved it again once I got in and will try that. Hope it works. I had asked what happened on CTT forum as others were getting the same results.

You will like the tee nuts and screw in leg adjustments. I use them on my layout. Works great to level layout.

PS: seems it as a new "address". Saved the new one in favorites and it works.

I'm back but it is still acting screwy, had to stand on my head and rotate three times while chanting "I Love Trains" to get back in. Most be a new log on procedure. sign1
