Holy WOW!!!! I would definitely like to know when you're releasing this! Hot Rod looks AWESOME!!!

I used to watch Transformers with my son when he was little. I would love to build this and send it to him!! The Transformers movie used to be his babysitter, sort of. It'd be cool for him to keep my son company again now that he's away in the Air Force....

yes i also was wonderig when hot rod would be relased? as wellas a sugestion how about a matrix of leadership for him. and it looks exelant as well

Thanks for your compliments. Sorry for the wait on the actual downloadable model. The real world is a drag and I don't have much free time during the normal week :nope:. I can only really make any progress on weekends.

I will release the downloadable model ahead of the instructions in case you want to get a head start. The instructs might take me a while since I've never made instructs for papercraft before. So I'll try and take a novel approach to it. Some of the parts might be a bit strange to build so I'll try and make sure the instructions are clear--but I think you experienced builders can figure it out. :thumb:

:inw:Congrats, this model turned out very nice! This is one I will definitely be making, I like how professional the textures look I really need to learn how to texture like that.

A very nice compliment, thanks, V5.

Hope the model comes out well. Let me know if there are any improvements I can make (even small ones). That goes for anyone else too.

Thanks everyone. Your words are great source of encouragement.:thumb:

I've been working on the instructions and basically am doing another build of the entire model as a last quality check. I've found several little things like fold lines that were missing.

The instructions will take me a bit longer than I thought to make. However I will be updating the model with missing score/fold lines to help clear any ambiguity with some parts. I'll release an updated model today sometime.

You won't have to necessarily reprint anything (unless you want to). You can use the updated model as a reference on how to score/fold those missing lines.

loudog49, thank you very much for making this model and sharing free of charge with rest of the world. I will work on your model as soon as I am finished with voltron5's Optimus Prime.

Thanks a lot!! :thumb:

Thanks everyone for all nice comments.

I promised instructions for this model. Its not very complex but these instructions allow me to say that this model is completely done. The links here now point to a ZIP file with both parts and instructions. I will update the link on the first page too.

Its time to move on to the next project. I'll start a new thread when I have some decent progress.
