You've got a ton of frieght cars, good job on ebay. BTW, those risers are looking good.

And ive gotten more stufff since lol, but ive backed off e-bay, not currently bidding on anything right now, only selling. Do you know how freaking hard it is to be on e-bay selling but NOT buying anything? im going crazy right now lol

and thanks, the risers are done now, im just finishing up laying the track on them now up to main level :thumb:

LOL Thanks Kevin!!!

The risers lead up to the main layout. ive had to change my original plans for stagging yet again, I have to make the track longer that comes off the risers to get a whole train backed into stagging, this means i have to make aother lift out to go below the Main Level lift out crossing the walkway/hallway into my room, no big deal, i just need a little extra room to get a full train down to stagging with no hassle lol

Ill be posting lots of pics in a few mins here, so you guys can all see some more progress :thumb:

Armstrong Electric Motors

First up is a Walthers Cornerstone Backround Building Kit - Armstrong Electric Motors. I built it to its full length.

My layout will use mostly Walthers Cornerstone Backround Building Kits due mostly to im limited to 18" of space

This building stands out!!! its highlighted with Red with Grey walls. I think it came out pretty good, it is very bright, but it will blend more once i weather it.

Heres a couple shots:

More Backround Buildings and Others

Here are a few more buildings i have gotten for the layout. I am still buying more of them on e-bay. I want to have LARGE but skinny buildings on my layout to give the illusion of BIG industries. I plan to kitbash diffrent kits together to create custom and unique buidings as well

Progress on Stagging

Okay so last time i posted i had said i ripped apart the yard AGAIN. well now the risers are glued down for grade going up to main layout so i was able to lay down the yard.

In this picture, it shows the slight maze of switches trains will use when backing into the yard to get to the different tracks. Since the tracks are not as long anymore and i cannot fit as many as i wanted to anymore, i am making extra stagging tracks down the front portion of this picture. The extra tracks will continue down off to the left of the pic when i add another section of benchwork on. So basically, there will be 2 lift outs, one for each level (main and stagging). The stagging lift out will allow a complete full train to come down grade and back into stagging where it can be broken apart onto the tracks and storage. The extra stagging tracks i mentioned will also be on the lift out going across to the extended stagging portion. Kinda confussing but it will all make sence when im done lol

SL371063.jpg

Here are some pics that just show the yard and the grade going up to main level layout I need to cut a small triangle piece of benchwork to attach to the part where the track is over hanging also

This last pic shows where the end or beginning of the grade starts from the main level layout
