Good Morning,,,,,,Just checking in. Tired, long day yesterday. Gathering with family and friends, and then neighborhood fireworks kept me up late. No use going to bed with all that noise so I just waited it out. I did get a few trains out for a few laps yesterday and all is working as it should, so ready for next time. Enjoy your weekend...S.J.

Morning all. Storms rolled through right after our fireworks in the park. Several thousand [yes] caught in traffic jam in front of my house while it rained and lightninged. Postponed Raleigh's fireworks and do not know if Costner's visit to the Bull Durham's stadium was cut short or postponed. Was the aniv. of Bull Durham movie. In a rush to go to Miss Edna's.

Good morning - Sir James, glad you made it through the night! Sorry, no banilla last night though. Jeff, nice pic, you really have integrated that well into your layout. Ngauger, I really liked your layout pics. So it's all G gauge then? Very nice! I have that same B9 robot, too! It has a little wired controller and says a couple phrases, right? I remember watching Lost in Space as a little kid, especially the Junk Man episode! Picked up the whole series on dvd a few years ago and really loved watching my kids get into it like I did!

I was just down watching one of my neighbor's kids fishing. He caught three catfish in the nine to twelve inch range and four others in the 6ix to eight inch range. He also caught a bunch of snapping turtles, which he threw back. Fishing holds no interest to me personally but I sometimes enjoy watching others doing it.

I've just been informed that I must attend a BBQ this evening. It starts at 5:45. I couldn't get any more information than that. With my birthday coming up in two days this sounds somewhat suspicious.

It turns out that it was a fiftieth birthday party for one of my father's friends. Talk about a big meal! BBQ brisket, BBQ pork chops, spiced sausage, BBQ beef ribs, assorted vegetables including homegrown tomatoes, sodas that I didn't know existed in this part of the country and that's just starting the menu.

Good evening folks

I am just getting on the computer. We never made it to the Cub World Family Day scout event. My foot was feeling the effects of walking the parade yesterday and it me until about 1 PM before I could put much weight on it. My wife was also having feet problems. She worked Day Camp at the museum all last week and was on her feet for about nine straight hours each day. We took the kids to see The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian.

We went to the fireworks last night in Collingdale. It was raining a little. We stayed dry in the van in the Acme Markets parking lot.

I hope everybody has a good night!

Evening all. Showers off and on. Some thunder and lightning around. We've missed the bad part so far. Went to Miss Edna's [Todd's Train Depot] and took veggies for all. Picked up Eastern NC pork bar-be-que and slaw sandwiches for the gang. Speaking of big meals. Get Eastern NC pork bar-be-que [vinegar base], yellow cole slaw [mustard], brunswick stew, redish boiled potatoes, deep Southern fried chicken and corn meal fried as corn sticks. Wash it down with good sweet ice tea. UMMMMM Off to bed. Sleep tight all.

Hey guys, worked on basement until dinner, went out to eat with my son, then picked up more drywall for tomorrow. Found out my wife's great uncle passed. She might have to go to a viewing tomorrow, we'll see.
