Morning Everyone ! Home the weather lets up and gives everyone some rest. Gas is soaring out here, difficult to find less than $4.60 !!! I was thinking yesterday I need to get a golf cart. Some are really nice. Only have about a 4 mile commute, and it would really work out well.

Going to run an Operating Session at the club today, don't really have my "head" into it. Sometimes its difficult to get these old geezers to follow simple directions. And the real problem is I dont know the layout all that well. But, I'm sure it will turn out well.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

By gad, sir! How dare you! Oh!, if only I could remember how to report abuse.

Gas aka petrol prices here are about double yours.
That means we should be shouting twice as loud. announce1

Have a great day, everyone.

GOOD MORNING ALL
Just stopped in to say hi and get a glass of tea. Whats the meaning of this: no sassafras tea? Chief check on this or I'll send a gross of instant grits to your office for the whole town to see, all 19 of them.
Reg gas was $4.04/4.09 E85 was still $3.54. Sunny and low 80s today, hopefully no rain for awhile, but then come July and Aug. everything dries up......S.J.

Morning all. Saw on the WC that Washington State had snow [ScratchyAngle]. Seems like I brought you all snow. I was there [Spokane and Post Falls] last week in Jan. Had the biggest snow in 15 years. Guess my visit opened the door. A good Rebel wish on the Nawth. Cooler today. High around 88. Out to do some outside work. Have a good one.

good afternoon everyone. Just enjoying the afternoon as it is a quiet one at the hospital and I hope it remains so. Have a few big cases tomorrow and so it is good to be well rested. Just finished the final details on a trauma cart for when one of the locals gets a bit crazy...happens all too often around here.

Hope Chief has settled in after his trip to LA. Must clarify that as in these parts, if you just say LA, they think you are talking of "Lower Alabama". But I do hope that you had some good food.

John Baker, I doubt I could get away from serving my bride doormat. She is a true GRITS eater. She knows when it has sat too long, if it was cooked on too high of heat, etc. Now, regarding that lifeboat for the Lionels. Do you think it'd make it across the pond?

Hope everyone has a good day.
God Bless,
Dennis

I was out looking at a new refrigerator today. My old one finally bit the dust after fourteen years of faithful service. If the new one lasts that long I'll be happy. It will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime I have the stuff that was in mine in one of my parents refrigerators.

Good evening, It was a very nice day today, ideal weather. Spent the day at the museum, first in 2 weeks.

Last evening I ran the track cleaner on the two small loops. Have to do the main line yet. On that one I have to keep an eye on it as it is occupied by two trains so if I just set it and forget it, I will have a rear ender at some point. Speaking here from experience.

They got rid of an old computer desk at the museum, been sitting there for about a month, today Jan asked me to take it along so I did. going to make a dollhouse workbench out of it as I still have two more to go.

Chief, The packaging said it was a scale model of a PRR portal, so hopefully it will pass inspection.

I'll try that one on the neighbors. We closed on our house at the end of October, and I made the mistake of saying I loved the snow having grown up without it in the South. I may have said, "I hope there's a lot this year." By April I was getting dirty looks :D

Hi Everyone
A nice day today, sunny and 82. Still have lots of areas without power. Problem is very large trees that fell on the wires have to be cleared before Edison can repair the lines. They brought in out of state help but only so many available as other places have storm damage too. I ran the trains for a short time today, read a little CTT, and a trip to Walmart this morning(I think it was this morning)That was a long time ago. Enjoy your evening......S.J.

Bit louder than that, our gas pans out at $10.33 a gallon.:curse:

Hey Logicman, are you a retiree? I think I must be? Can't remember last time I went to work, or what I did there.

Magnatraction. Hornby had a thing called magnadhesion many years ago, I had a Lord of the Isles loco with this, all it did was pick up loads of iron filings etc. [you'd be amazed at how much loose metal there is in the average home]and short itself out-crap!

Good morning.

It's 73 here this morning and the sky is clear. A high in the low 90's is expected and it will be partly cloudy.

I'm expecting the new fridge to be delivered sometime today. They told me it would be in the afternoon but we all know how old Murphy works. Reschedule all your plans for the morning so you can be there in the afternoon but for some reason the delivery team arrives in the morning when you're not there, knocking all your plans into a cocked hat.
