Good Evening
Here's hoping the Chief has a good trip home. Weather not as hot today 85, but 92 for Sun.& Mon. with chance of storms of course. I ran a few trains today, One was my last MTH purchase(about a year ago I think) a RK CP royal hudson. Lots of detail, sounds the same as all the other MTH steam I have with one exception, four chuffs, I don't really care for that, it may be correct but doesn't sound right to me. Once it starts moving its just a blur of sound instead of chufing. Oh well it runs good. Enjoy your Sunday,,,S.J.

You should be able to reset the chuff rate. I like the sound of 3 chuffs on most of my stuff the best. Not prototypical but sounds the best to my ear in a model.

Hey guys - bad headache and sinuses for 2 days, a little better now. In-laws are visiting and no train time in sight. I did get in 6 hours of OT though. TTFN

Often wonder why anyone would willingly go camping!
To get closer to the trains of course!

My idea of "Roughing it" is being more than 5 miles away from McDonalds!!:eek::eek:
Do you consider this "roughing it"?

This is as about as rough as my wife will tolerate! This was taken near Williams, AZ a couple weeks ago... a good railfanning town!

MORNING
Wow what a noisy nite, storms from the west(Chicago area)hit here and down into Ohio, I am very happy to say no damage here, however I have not plugged my new tv back in yet, but being totally disconnected I am assuming it's ok. Its going into the 90s today and Mon. so I guess indoor things will be on the agenda. Happy Sunday to ALL...S.J.

Pa. John, good tip about changing the chuff rate, I would not have thought of it. I have TMCC. However I will take it to Wild Bill's and they will do it for me. thanks. S.J.

TrainNut, I just took a look at your layout thread and think you have done a terrific job on that N scale layout. Fabulous scenery. To those who haven't checked it out, take a look, you will enjoy it.

Hello from Louis Armstrong International [New Orleans] Airport. Got free internet service. Funny, some like Charlotte, NO and other big ones have free service. Then some have subscriber service. Probably a Southern thing. :p Chat later.

Thank you Jefelectric. I've put a lot of work into the home layout but all of that was just a learning curve for my new design - The Podunk and Urbanopolis. Fun stuff.

I never noticed until the passing of Krawler, how you guys have got your own little world in here! There are several of you that only post to this one thread %99 of the time. On the flipside of that, I only visit this thread 1% of the time. I'm gonna have to stick my head in the door and see what's up more often if that's okay with you all.

Fine with me, the more the merrier. I like the fact that there are guys from most the the gauges here so we get to mingle a bit and learn from each other. Of course the Chief insists that those from the North, sign a Confederacy loyalty oath.

We had 92 and an afternoon storm from Chicago area again. Of course here west to east is the usual travel route for bad weather. No trains today, just lazed and watched tv before the storm got here. Is everyone ready for Monday? might as well,it comes next. TTFN S.J.

If Georges best had not been busy bashing the French in seventeen hundred and wot-not? The US would still be ours. I don't know what we would have done with the Rebs though? Probably bombard them with grits on a frosty night.wall1
Had a great time at Ilkley, a guy was running a Triplex-very impressive.

Good morning,

AC service man is here already. Think I will go to the Air Conditioned gym and do my workout this morning. They already have posted extreme heat warnings.

Hoping to host a couple of forum members Friday evening if all goes per plan.

Have a good one and stay cool.
