Good morning folks

It is 76 F and humid. High today will be around 83 F. We are waiting for the thunderstorms to roll in. They are out in Lancaster and Berks Counties right now. We are currently under a Tornado Watch.

I picked up the van this morning. It was a PVC valve and it cost $285.00.

GEEZE!!! Remember when they wee 2.85????? and you could do them yourself??:eek::eek:

The injector cleaner probably would have fixed that too... :(
The Too much gas problem is basically a sensor acting up.. That's why clearing the computer fixed it..
That's why it's BAD to put your foot on the gas pedal when starting the car. Always put your foot on the brake..

And it was really difficult for me to learn to NOT rev the engine, like on those carberator jobs :D :D :D

I got my new computer mainboard today. Opening the box was an eye-opening experience. That sucker has a LIQUID COOLED CPU! The cooling unit is bigger than my fist. The processor is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3GHZ Dual-Core in an AM2 socket. The board is a MSI K9N4 SLI with DDR2 800 memory and uses the Nvidia eForce 500 SLI chipset. This thing is supposed to be super fast! The primary reason I got it is because it supports up to four IDE devices as well as four SATA devices. I'm starting it off on one GB of RAM. It's expandable up to eight GBs.

Now I just need the time and proper physical condition to install it. In other words, I have to wait for a time when I don't have the shakes.

Raining off and on today. Did some weeding in the garden and worked on the pond between showers and then worked on the mountain a little. Need to wait for paint to dry between steps. Ran some trains, my Weaver 2-8-0 quite smoking a little while ago and I'm not sure why. It may be just to much fluid, I turned it over and a little had accumulated on the bottom of the cylinders, so I may have added to much. Will just run it a while and see if it recovers. Any suggestions. This is supposed to have a TAS smoke unit with auto shutoff if the fluid runs out. When it first stopped smokingI added more fluid, but that did not help.

I am going to go start up the grill. Going to have Steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and asparagus. Wife baked a desert that sure smelled good, have to wait and see what it is.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

GOOD EVENING ALL
We had a nice warm day in the 70s, windy though. Not much going on but I wanted to check in. No trains today, just enjoyed the pleasant weather.
I still have not finished my two train mag's. S.J.

Sounds like folks had some good times today - that motherboard sounds really cool, Jeffrey and I liked that black and white photo function on your picture today, interesting effect! Sir James - I have two toy train magazines and two regular train magazines and about a dozen books and other magazines to read, guess I've been spending too much time online again. Oh well, it keeps me out of trouble (mostly)!

Chief, It is working just fine up here North of the Mason-Dixon Line. I think they must be blocking the Southern States signal. :thumb:  Or maybe just Roseyville.

Here's a photo of the new main board still in the box. Doesn't look like $600 does it?

The display board that goes with it is huge! Most of it is heat sink.

Chief, this is what Kim Kamando had to say this morning in her newsletter:
THE WEB IS STRUGGLING; IF THINGS ARE SLOW, THAT'S WHY
You might already have heard about the Internet's problems. One of the Internet's main lines is not moving data properly.
I'm writing this on Friday evening. The Internet has been working sporadically all day for us. My director of IT, Ray, compares it to a highway that's partially closed. Traffic is moving, but it is slow. All you can do is grin and bear it.
If you received this newsletter early Saturday, you might be OK. If not, now you know why. If you can't get into my site (or another site), try later.
I've been having problems all day yesterday and today with other sites and a few slowdowns even here. I suspect this is my problem and it could be yours too.

Ezdays, glad I checked back in. It is flying now. You must have scared it into responding. :thumb: Tstorms came our way. Died before they got to us. Got a light shower. Everyone else had lightning and hail. Been sleeping now for two days. Can't seem to wake up. Went to Miss Edna's and took big bag of squash. Like to have gone to sleep driving home. Bad feeling. Slept until now. Of to bed again. Maybe pneumonia again. No fever though. Later.

Chief...Watch yourself...Your running back & forth with that new-fangled job you got PLUS doing all the other stuff you've always done might be getting to you.
A couple of days off wouldnt hurt, I'm sure.

Good night (morning..??) to all...

Morning all. Glad this thing is working faster. Was about to give up and stop posting. Well, I have slept most of a day and a half. Only block of time I have been awake good was when I went to Miss Edna's [Todd's Train Depot]. Almost fell asleep driving the 8 miles home. Feel better but still cough up bad stuff. Busy week. County Commissioner's meeting tomorrow. Town Hall Day [all day long] at Legislature all day Wednesday [my birthday, what a way to spend the day]. Friday, I fly to New Orleans and drive to Gonzolas LA for a Cabela's event. Fly home Sunday. Hope all have a great week.
