Good morning.

It's 72 and clear at the present time. It will however become partly cloudy as the temp climbs to a high in the lower 90's.

I'll be helping my father take the old vinyl liner out of the pool today. The plan is to cut it up into sections so it can be easily hauled out.

Good morning folks

It is 59 F right now. High will be 81 F.

I am home. The “Check Engine” light came on in the van last night so I will be heading down to the auto repair shop in a little while. Hopefully they will be able to fix it today. The light came on about two months ago and some oxygen sensors had to be replaced. My wife needs her car today so I have an unexpected day off.

No modeling last night. My daughter had her last Girl Scout meeting of the year.

Tonight is guitar lesson for my son. We have the bi-weekly grocery shopping torture to do this weekend.

I have some photos I would like to take of a boxcar that is visiting the layout. Also I may attempt to assemble another P2K Mather Stock Car. I have some cars to weather sitting on the workbench.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good Morning everyone! Got a bit of a headache this morning, but that is not too unusual for me. Was a nice night at the house, played Lego Star Wars with the son and made some homeade pizza for dinner.

Chief, when you talk to RT again, please pass along my congratulations! His has been a long struggle and I am glad to see that it has come to fruition.:thumb:

Had a disturbing moment yesterday as I was reading one of the anesthesiologists NY Times, they had a story and a photo of a young girl's body who was killed in a collapse of a school during the earthquake. Having been there and having a Chinese daughter, it hit home. Makes one go home and hug and kiss their own kids. No matter how rotten they can become, we are blessed to have them.

On a good note, don't have much to do this weekend, so I hope to get a little layout work done. Also, bride asked what I wanted for "Father's Day", I told her a TPC400. She told me to go order one from Doug.

God Bless,
Dennis

More prayers for Krawler, thanks for the update.

Chief, same here - tell RT to call and leave his new number on my machine and I'll call him when I get a chance. Thanks!

Jeffrey - looking very nice!

My plan is to take my wife and kids out to eat dinner somewhere and using this review report I found we will buy a new toilet. The current one is only truly functional half the time and I'll just leave it there.

John, E85 should be run in a flexfuel vehicle. 10% is now in all gasoline as replaced MTBE. E85 will not give as good a gasoline mileage. It should run cheaper than gasoline in the Ethnol manufacturing areas. We do not have a plant yet. Does not have to be corn to make the alcohol. Switch grass and sweetpotatoes will work too. We ran a lot of E85 [imported from mid-west] in the State's vehicles before I retired.

Got 11:30 AM appointment with SS to file. Lets see how good or bad the Feds are at getting it done. One thing is puzzeling. I have to take my Army discharge papers with me. Oh well.

Good night all.

Chief, I had to do the same. They give you some SS credit for service time. Not sure how much or how it is calculated but that is what they told me when I signed up.

Good day at work, yard sale went well :thumb:

Made enough to buy a couple new train cars but it would be better spent in a CDsign1

The BFT (Buckeye Freight and Terminal) has a cease production/upgrade untill it generates some more income:eek: Union standing orders are to go slow:confused: Basicly I am waiting for a pay check so I can round up some more bench work material was able to make 1 and a half tables with recyled wood.

Sad day in Columbus, one of the soup kitchens had their freezer units stolen so they lost the equipment and a lot of food went to waste:cry::curse:wall1

I accomplished everything on my list today. I got two new tires to replace the two that I've been using to leave 20 foot black streaks on the roads. That was $115. I got the car inspected, $10. I paid my bills, cable, electricity, car insurance. That was $218. I got the groceries I need right away, $49. I'll get the rest when my food stamp allotment comes in on the third. I went to Hobby Lobby in Alexandria and picked up $76 worth of stuff there. A Bachmann Flatcar, a jar of fine gray blend ballast, two boxes of hand-made Life-Like green shade trees and three WS Scenic Accents packs of figures. A1832 Moms & Kids, A1829 People Sitting and A1869 Baseball Players (kids playing baseball). Lastly, I just renewed my driver's license from the comfort of my home by renewing online. It only costs two dollars more than going to the OMV office.

Bought some stuff for the house including an upgraded toilet. I went ahead and paid to have it installed and the old one hauled away. It's my least favorite job in the universe, so some overtime tomorrow in exchange for someone else doing it seemed like a small thing to me!

Had that happen 2 times on the Mustang.... My mechanic told me that O2 sensors are notorious for false negative readings (which turns on that stupid light).....

Solution: When the tank gets down to 1/4... put in a bottle of Fuel System/Injector Cleaner... then fill it... then run the tank down to 1/4 and use another bottle.. Fill it again... Total cost about $20.00 (plus gas) \...... a LOT cheaper than a sensor.. and... YES it worked both times.. the light went out on it's own after about half of the first tank was gone... :) BOTH times.. and the car went through inspection both times,... no error codes... no emission problems whatsoever...

What?? don't want to see that light on all the time???? Take the Negative battery post off for 20 minutes.. i left mine off for 30 min the second time... and the computer "Resets" ... no light.........

Brutus,
Every man needs a good throne to sit upon. One friend has a son who was an apprentice plumber. For a Father's Day present, he installed one of the "Turbo Flush" toilets that had a high pressure flush. Sounded like the ones on a airliner. Needless to say, you don't flush while on the seat.
Getting ready to take son to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party. peasoup Anyway, hope to hit the trains this afternoon after the son's Chinese lessons. Have to mark wire runs under the layout and make up log for future use.
Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Good morning from the Sportsman's Paradise.

It's 70 degrees and sunny here, kinda like an apology for the rain we got yesterday that the weather guesser didn't see coming. The high today will be in the low 90's and it will be partly cloudy unless the weather guesser ends up with egg on his face again.

Today's Weather for:
Sundown, LA 71446-6114 5/31/2008

Wind Chill: 68°F
Humidity: 98%
Dew Point: 67°F

Today High: 92 Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 90s. Light and variable winds becoming south around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight Low: 68 Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

Morning all, beautiful day here - warm, sunny - sending the storms eastward. Dennis, bring your ear protection to C.E.C. - quite the volume there - tell us if they still have an MTH train layout - we had one in ours all covered in a plastic bubble where you push a button and an Amtrack F40 and a couple of cars race around an oval with a little tunnel and crossing gate.

Good morning folks

It is 76 F and humid. High today will be around 83 F. We are waiting for the thunderstorms to roll in. They are out in Lancaster and Berks Counties right now. We are currently under a Tornado Watch.

I picked up the van this morning. It was a PVC valve and it cost $285.00.

I am going to keep that in mind. I went a different gas station that has a so-so reputation and I wonder if I got some bad gas. I normally Avoid the place but I did not have a choice this time.

What?? don't want to see that light on all the time???? Take the Negative battery post off for 20 minutes.. i left mine off for 30 min the second time... and the computer "Resets" ... no light.........

My Intrepid used stall for no reason. There was a problem with the computer and I had to take the negative cable off to get to reboot. Then it would run fine for a while. Apparently for some reason the computer thought the engine was getting too much fuel and would cut the fuel off.

I am heading out in a few moments to the hardware store. We are going to pick-up some sand for the basketball court to replace the broken bricks and cut tree limbs keeping it stable.

I hope everybody has a good day.
