Morning all. Welcome back, Graham. I look forward to your photos. :wave:Sunny and cold here again in Chicago.

Jon, I thought that was a great promotion! Hmmm, maybe tickets are still available. The youngest would sure enjoy getting on the field and the bride and daughter are Cubs fans - the bride always, the daughter since breaking up with her Sox-fan bf. LOL.

Had a 'delightful' start to the day trying to duck being sprayed by the anti-skeeter-fogging helo whilst trying to make the train. If I start to grow a second head, I know whom to blame

Welcome back Graham, Guess I'm a newbe compared to you.

Dennis, It still works that way for me. Very handy.

We had a beautiful day today, Sunny and not to hot, just right.

I put plaster cloth on my small mountain yesterday, want to work on the finish a little before I paint.

It took$45.00 to get half a tank of gas the other day and that was with a .50 off per gallon from Kroger.

First day of new temp posistion went well, will be working Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays for a while, can't wait to get back to filming instead of pick up delivery. But work is work:thumb:

Will try to have yard sale Friday and Saturday, Mom will be running it Friday as I will be at work:mrgreen:

Yummy! Way to go CSX!

Glad to hear about RT, too!

Hi to all (and welcome) - mowed lawn after work, grabbed a bite and been doing some emails. News just showed commuter train derailed in Chicago - said no serious injuries. Hope Doug M was not on it!

CNW....I remember wayyyy back in early 60's....up in Madison (land of the dairy cow...) chasing after a little jeep-like contraption that was spraying DDT to keep the skeeters down....Ohhh, what fun...!!! Smelled kinda funny, though....

Correction....In my earlier post dealing with ol' bit-crunchers...I shoulda said mid-80's....

I've decided to remove the mailbox from the park and put it over at Smith's gas station. Seems to be a better place for it.

Good morning folks

53 F and a lot of sun greeted me on the way to the office this morning. High will be 77 F.

We had a great Cub Scout Pack Meeting, Arrow of Light, and Crossover Ceremony last night. We had a great turnout and everyone liked the ceremony we performed. We didn’t just throw the awards at the kids as had been done it the past. We treated the awards with the respect that the highest award that a Cub Scout can earn should be treated with. We had a great turnout and were missing only three of our scouts. We had about 12 Boy Scouts and 3 leaders from the Boy Scout Troop that our boys were crossing over to as part of the ceremony.

No modeling last night as one could guess.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning. Got up early. Had train time for morning. Now TV station calls and insists on interview in an hour. Trying to stir up something that is not there about water. Later

S.J., Is that E85 you are using? How does the mileage compare with reg. gas?

Worked on my mountain a little bit to patch up some imperfections in the plaster cloth.

Spent the morning outside potting flowers and general yard work. Great weather for it, Sunny and cool.

Glad to hear RT is moved and getting settled in.

CSXect, Thanks for the smiley tip. steamtrain Was this one always there? I never noticed it before, must not have scrolled down that far before.

Exams are over...and so is freshman year. Well, that was the worst experience of my life.on the bright side, my folks said they'd work on renovating the attic space behind my bedroom closet this summer, so I'll finally have somewhere to put my trains. Right now, they're more of a dust collection than the components of a model railroad. Go figure.

EVENING ALL
John in Pa. yes it is E85, I bought the truck new in 2000, but nobody had E85 until about a year ago. Now I have three places I can get it. As for mileage I have not checked it yet, Its a small six with poor MPG with gas, and I know this stuff is suppose to get less but the mileage between fillups seems about the same.
We had a really nice day here middle 70s forecast for the next seven days but storms tomorrow afternoon. We went to K-Mart this morning(I shop all the classy places)got a good deal on some summer shirts @$7.79 those nice wash & wear comfortable kind. No trains but I did get a few pages of CTT turned. Fridays coming, get ready. S.J.

A few stations in our county sell E85 but none nearby to me. Some have 10 percent ethanol, I can't tell the difference.

Put a coat of dark green paint on the mountain.

John, don't use E85 unless your car/truck was designed for it. It's my understanding that E85 is like varnish remover, it can eat right through fuel system parts. There is some ethonol in most gasoline though, like you said 10/15%

Nice pic Jeffrey, I like that bbq grill too. Nothing going on here today. Kids have a half day tomorrow, so they are psyched of course. I'll get the truck serviced in the morning and then pick them up and go out to eat - probably Culvers.

Sir James - you are right. There was a local story here where a station was using that gas with higher levels of ethanol and it ruined some lady's truck.

John, E85 should be run in a flexfuel vehicle. 10% is now in all gasoline as replaced MTBE. E85 will not give as good a gasoline mileage. It should run cheaper than gasoline in the Ethnol manufacturing areas. We do not have a plant yet. Does not have to be corn to make the alcohol. Switch grass and sweetpotatoes will work too. We ran a lot of E85 [imported from mid-west] in the State's vehicles before I retired.

Got 11:30 AM appointment with SS to file. Lets see how good or bad the Feds are at getting it done. One thing is puzzeling. I have to take my Army discharge papers with me. Oh well.

Good night all.
