Really?! no Photo Fun thread for this week yet? Let's remedy that!

I finally got around to painting that cabinet my TV is sitting on so it matches the control stand that operates my layout. I put a mock up of an F unit instrument panel in front of it to mask where the cable for my mini cam receiver plugs into the TV.

That's pretty cool Ralph. I know at least one modeller in my club that would love to do that.
Here's something a little different:

Clubtugboat.jpg

The Tugboat is a scale model of the SS Kelowna, a CPR tug that used to operate on the lake where I live. It and the carfloat behind it were donated to my club and I've been volunteered to restore it. The hull had a big crack in it so I filled it with putty and now I have to repaint it.

Glen, I really like that tug!!!! Its fantastic! Nice job fixing it up!
Spankybird, great pics of the John Deere train. I've never seen anything like that on the rails despite having seen the models.

Here are pictures of Sir James 1's layout. He mailed me hardcopy photos and I scanned them for him so they could be posted online - looks pretty nice to me! Maybe he will add some information for us all later?

Brutus gets a huge thank you for posting this for me.
The layout was built in 1980/81 with GG track except for some 027 switches I used for freight sidings..It has not changed except where new items have replaced some of what you see. The tracks along the wall are double track and run completely around the room. I hope you like it. S.J.

Nice looking NYC lightning stripe set on the shelf! Sir James it looks like the tracks go through to another room via tunnel?

Glen that tug of yours has me considering redoing my old scratchbuild for something a little more realistic.

The UP train is coming out of the furnace room,my wife said we had to keep the furnace and water heater. That is the wall where you see the coffee cups the opening is a little left of the pic. The track running into that room is just above the cardboard box....S.J

Canada, eh?
Interesting pictures, Charlie: of 17 freight cars visible, 5 are hidden sufficiently to prevent identification of the owner, 10 (including a pair of "duplicates") represent various owner roads, and the other two are private owner or lease cars. Nowadays, those numbers for leased cars and owner roads would likely be reversed.;):-D:-D

That's not a bad tug there Ralph. Now that I have parked the club's tug in my layout's habour I'm wishing that it was mine. I'm thinking of taking the tug over to my fatheriin-law's place and seeing if he can duplicate the hull, which is the most difficult part, so I canmake myself a copy of it.
