Hi guys! In my last thread, I was working on the wiring of my layout. Now, I started this one so I can sort of "document" my layout progress and get ideas and suggestions from you fine people. I just taped a video of my working layout, and explained some difficulties I am having.

Keep in mind this. I have a crown on YouTube, and they aren't subscribed to me for my trains, so if it's rated poorly, yeah.

Thanks for the help sabretoogh47, steamhead, pgandw, and 60105.

I plan to keep making more update videos when I reach certain points in the project, so this thread will come back later.

Well, I don't really know. I am planning on having a 10-15 car long freight train and an Amtrak train. I am planning on modeling in the modern era so I can keep changing it with the times, just so it's "never finished".

I really want to model CSX. My first O scale set was CSX, and I think I just grew onto it. I have a couple Santa Fe engines, but they both are older and run like me, not well (that was a joke, because I can't run for a long time, or very well). To answer your question, I am thinking of CSX

Well, I have changed my mind now and I am planning on modeling in the Michigan, Illinois, Indiana region. Were exactly, I don't know. I am not going to try to be prototypical with this. It's going to be my own little town. :p

Thanks for the advice though. I figured out what road name I wanted to go with be researching wikipedia. I just found the article on a road name and it gave me a map on where in the US is was located. Just a little tip for any newbies reading this (yeah, like I'm not a newbie.)
