Roger, nah, we don't need indoor bathrooms, the weather is warm enough for us to open the windows and hang it out. Actually, there is a technique for heading to the outhouse. Make sure you bring a stick to hit the sides of the seat....snakes like to hang around them and can ruin a trip to the throne room.

It has been a warm day outside, but alas, I am too tired to have gone out and enjoy it. I did watch the Trains and Locomotives episode on the Ohio Central. I didn't know that an anesthesiologist had started it, at least in it's current form. Neat story.

Hope y'all have a great weekend ahead.

Good evening all,

Cool rainy day here. Did some shopping on Jean's day off and in the afternoon, she had the first stage of a tooth implant done, Ouch!

Hoping to do a little gardening tomorrow, if it is dry enough, the rain today didn't amount to much. Time to get in the onions if nothing else.

Need to transplant the peppers and tomatoes from the seed flats into peat pots.

Will even try to find time to run some trains over the weekend.

Nice pic, Jeffrey!

Daughter now has a head full of Mayo & wearing a shower cap. Washed everything in hot water and will keep doing it for a couple days. Keep your fingers crossed! Man, I'm itchy, now, too!

I hope to play around with that kit tomorrow, need to pick up some paint for the doors and windows. I think we have some acrylic paint? Also need some white spray paint I guess to seal the model?

Dennis, you had a deluxe model. In Dent County (Hillbilly Country), where my wife's family is from, an "outhouse" is a hole in the ground with a stick next to it to hold the roll of TP.

Good luck to Jean on the tooth implant, John. Sounds painful to me.

Can't stay up too late as I have to work tomorrow AM.

GOOD EVENING
It appears the Chief has been in grannys cough medicine again.
Snow is gone,we got our grass watered without having stormy weather. The sun did a good job. Ran some trains for awhile, just turned them on and watched. Everyone have a nice weekend,,,S.J.

Huh - posted a picture, but now it won't show. I guess the hosting site blocked it. X-Files movie is coming in July. Not really train related, but I figured there are a few fans around here....

Marcie...Unexpected grandchildren turn out to be just like "expecteds". The first one caught us off-guard. When the second came along...we were ol' hands at it...They have both brought us great joy...!!!

Look here....How can they not..??!!

Good Morning Y'all! Overcast here, but temps are comfortable. I have some trees to cut up, so I hope to get most of the work done this morning before it gets too hot.

Bride has already gone shopping and back. She made us all breakfast and now the crumb snatchers and ankle biters are begging for attention. Time to play. Hope everyone has a blessed day.
God Bless,
Dennis

Good Morning
Its our 49th anniversary today,Easter sunday 1959. My wife just came downstairs wearing black and its not a seethrough nitegown. Maybe after this long that may be a good thing. Nay, I still like to look.
We have bright sunshine this morning, but not very warm today, next week is suppose to be in the 50s. Thats good for here, anything more than that is a bonus day.
The trains have been running good, sometimes I just turn some on and just sit and watch them. The closest I ever came to a running plan was index cards with a car written on it and I would travel the layout picking them up.
Enjoy Your Weekend..........S.J.

Congratulations Misty, Hope everything works out for your family !!!

Sir James
, 49 !!! Thats tremendous! Major milestone rapidly approaching!

Been busy last few days, with work, train club, and trying to feel better.

I asked a question at train club about running "prototypical operations", everyone seems enthusiastic, but noone wants to start anything. So... decided I would, have done some basic research, have a book on order (Thanks for info Doug), and done some basic planning. Here is my plan.

Wed (next) is monthly meeting night. I have sent 3 emails trying to get schedule preferance info. So on Wed, will announce will have 2 sessions on the following Tues, 1 at 3:00 pm till 6, and another from 7:00 pm till 9:30.
At each session will do some explanations of various jobs and their roles, also show what scale speed is. (measured distance and specified time).

Then on the layout we have 2 main lines, will designate 1 east bound, 1 west bound. Will have a passenger train on each with a designated speed of 60 mph, then depending upon the number of attendees will have freight trains at say, 30 mph, and 45 mph. This will require the trains to have to pass each other and use sidings. Will require that the passenger train make a minimum of 2 loops, (outside track is 6.7 scale miles, inside track is 3.5 that pass train will do 4 loops). Then will change train assignments.

Then will do kind of a debriefing, and see "where" we go from there. By then should have a accurate idea of persons who really want to be involved.

Don't want to take up too much space here. Need to get going so later. Have a wonderful DAY and WEEKEND !!!!
