:thumb:Wow, put out fires for Town until 6:30 PM. Then went to pond. Hope I helped a guy out of trouble and he will stay out [more on other forum]. Speaking of other forum, Dennis you did a good job on that one. I think Sellector may have cleaned the Rug. :thumb: Maybe our emails to Bob K helped. He understands. Great guy there. Now this absence may be a trick. He will wait and see if some folks asks where he has gone. Then come back and hope he gets welcomes. Ego "pumps". See, that is what he got mad with Brent and Fife over me being welcomed back by them. It was a trick that worked. :thumb: Maybe this will cool Jack's jets too. So much for that.
Hope everyone did NOT have a hectic day like me. I missed a free pig picking at lunch. Well, off to bed [reclinerized as soon as I got dinner down]. God bless.

PS: John, got my Trains today and have not even scanned the cover. Sad!

Good morning folks

It is 45 F and we are waiting for rain. Temperature is supposed to go up to 51 F.

No modeling last night as we had Cub Scout Pack Meeting.

I am home right now. I am scheduled to get my foot X-rayed this morning. The pain which had been manageable and similar to the pain I had with the bone spur in the other foot suddenly changed a few days ago. The medication is no longer for the pain is no longer effective. At times the pain has been a 11 out of 10.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Chief, thanks. I do hope that things quiet down a bit. I suspect that Jack was taken back with the last response. A bit suprised Jim didn't email me with threats or anything.

The kids are still asleep, but once they wake up, we are heading out. Perhaps we will stop off at Waffle House for Grits and waffles.

HOpe y'all have a blessed day.

Good Morning from the Heartlands where it's getting darker by the moment and it's thundering!!! Good grief, spring just can't seem to get organized here as it's still cold and was very windy all night. There was 3" of snow in north west IA last night, could be a late spring for the farmers.... not what they need. We have more than enough sub soil moisture, now we need to the soil temps up so field work can begin.

Made a very fast trip into town last night, a shipment of Wii's had arrived and I was able to snag one, it's good to have friends in high places, HA! I wish.

Hope things do simmer down on the other web site, it is a good one. I'm not so sure about that Selector character though, he makes my head hurt wall1 and my eyes glaze over

Off to north central Iowa soon to work with my mentee, I've been a mentor for 6 years with first year teachers and this year I've got a good one. It's a real pleasure to work with talented young teachers who are not afraid to listen to the voices of experience. It's a state and nationally funded program that is working, trust me---your tax dollars are being used wisely on the project, kind of unusual in this day of political turmoil.

OK, the lights are flickering, I'm outta here!

Morning all. Sure was nice to visit a Rug free CTT this AM. Hope that does not slow the posting over here. I've been posting here regularly way before the "mess". Tom [Spankybird] got me to posting here. Then "N" set up a separate Caboose for us. Been great as I get to meet N, HO and Z folks here too. Don't think I've met any S folks on here. If so, sorry as do not want to offend.

Pretty and sunny and warm in Roseyville. Red hots for breakfast. Nothing on calendar for today. Got to get going. Have a good one.

Morning all. Nice to see some of this merry band back on CTT - not run off. Grey, damp but a tad warmer. Gas up at $3.50 again. Looks like the shop was able to machine a timing belt cover for less than the cost of a new part for the van - hope I can get it today. Fixed the bank problem with my daughter's ATM card - they had a monthly limit on it and kept changing the daily limit which of course was blocked by the other one - or something like that. ;) She's still blissfully spending. I'm imagining for essentials like food and water - I bet I'm wrong - LOL.

Morning Everyone
Doug, when is she due back? Chris' group only went to DC, they were scheduled to go to France, but then cancelled due to lack of participants.
BTW my congradulations!!! With all the forum demeanor discussions, You ALWAYS take the High Road.

Now, Dennis, Chief and others I don't mean you are a bunch of mudslingers, so don't be offended! I know I've taken my turn in the barrel as well. I just don't have the 1st hand knowledge that you guys have had, and not as eloquent as Dennis. As Laz said I hope the situation resolves B-Good or B-Gone! I too am concerned about selector, is he the same moderator that came on a while back? Seems kinda pius, (light colored mud). Notice the relationship - road color, mud, mudslinging...... My warped sense of humor is recoverying. But, I wanna go to York!!!

Better go get ready for work ! Busy day today, labeling cartridges, UGH

HI GIZ,
Raining here today and for tomorrow. First day o trout season on Saturday, hope creek is not to high or will wait til Monday to fish?
JON, wish that is how our new teachers were here. Seems when I started I didn't know anything and looked for advice from older teachers. Now that I'm the older teacher I still don't know anything.
CHIEF, good job on setting that guy straight at your pond. Hope he mends his ways?
DOUG, they sure know how to spend it. What goes first, the arm or the leg?
ROY, sending my Cub Cadet in for overhaul. After 20 years I think its time.
B GOOD or B GONE,

Beautiful day here, finally warming up

Dennis - Grits & waffles, now you've got me really hungry

19 yo daughter with deadbeat boyfriend just informed us she is pregnant, somehow I know I am going to loose my newly acquired train room in this deal - my temporary small layout may become more permanent than I thought. Oh well, have to take care of her, it's not the babies fault.

Hope everyone has a nice Friday eve!

Tom I have been there with bone spurs as I have one in each arch and one on the back of of ankle just above heel. Being that I was on diabetic meds the doc would not remove them so he gave me some pain meds and then later some shots that "killed" the nerves have not had any trouble with pain after the shots:thumb: And the pain from a spur is very distinct and you know it after having been thru it before.

Good Afternoon Everyone. It is raining here today. Was a nice day yesterday but that soon changed as night time came upon us last night. Been raining since. I had went through my trains today and started thinking I might have enough time to finish my doodlebug project I have started a few months ago. I am hoping I can get that done before my daughter gets here.

Have A Great Day Everyone.

Doug - ignorance is bliss!

TomPM - sorry about your foot. Hope it works out easily.

Marcie - my wife and I fear the day as the same thing could happen here. Deadbeat boyfirends appear to be in copius supply. Good luck!

Sunny here and 85 today.

Good afternoon,

Went to the fitness center for the first time in 10 days, things kept cropping up to interfere. Had planned to work in greenhouse but after exercise and lunch, I just crashed, no pep at all.

Doug, Keep hanging in there, been there and done that. Before long you may be wishing they were teenagers again. NOT!!!

Tom, I feel your pain, had a similar problem, heal spur, some years back, wore a special boot to bed to hold the foot a certain way and after a year or so the problem disappeared and never came back.

Marcie, good luck to you. Never had that problem, but our youngest eloped just after HS and broke her mother's heart. All better now but it took a few years.

On the train front, I got a package from Bob Thatcher yesterday containing two box cars, one a Lancaster & Chester and the other a Vermont Railway. Both nice cars. The L&C is light blue and grey and the Vermont is green, what else. If you have never heard of the Lancaster & Chester, check out this link. BTW it is in South Carolina.

Lancaster & Chester Railway

Hope all of those in pain and ill, get well quick.

Tom: Prayers for you. I love that grafitti!

Don: I don't understand Selector. That's Bob's spot to manage, and he's doing a fine job. It's better here anyway!

Marcie: Congratulations on the new baby! Prayers for your family, and continued good health.

Doug: I'm sure she's buying souvenirs for the family.

A friend of my Bride's came back from Italy, carrying a few cans of Oilve Oil in his suitcase. Cans being the operative word.
Well TSA couldn't x-ray thru the cans to see what was inside, as a result he received a call from the airport. Uh...Sir...we blew up your suitcase...
Moral of the story...don't carry cans.

I've had a few agents with shaking hands search my bags to understand the coiled-up metal objects (tape measures). They would not ask, nor allow me to comment on what was in the bags. Made me nervous just watching them.

Good Grief Charlie Brown--I drove about 60 miles north of here to work with a new college grad/teacher and they had at least 6" of new, wet snow on the ground! Thankfully, I took the 4 wheel drive truck and I did need the 4 wheel drive. I always arrive early and enjoy driving around small towns thinking about what might have been 100 years ago. I did have to put the truck into 4 wheel drive, no plows but that's OK. A great afternoon with a wonderful new teacher.

Now, how do we get rid of the snow up 'dere? I think an express delivery to Roseyville would be the best option :thumb: And speaking of Chief, I have your new corn drink ready along with a fresh corncob for you

Hurry up SPRING

Good evening to all the fine people on this forum. So far I have never encountered one art critic over here.

It is raining and cold in Buckeyeland, but Spring Football practise has started!!!! :thumb:

Summer may be here one day, and with gas at such a high price, many of us will be limiting our travel. Remember the good old days when people drove across country on vacation?

CTT forum has a posting based on an article in their magazine about toy train layouts you could visit. I hope to get see the one at Carnigie in Pittsburgh in April after a business meeting.

Kurt.....I don't understand how a company can have someone monitor their forum and not work for the company, but I'm glad he did what he did.
