Well, after a good bit of shopping, we are home, kids are getting ready for bed...I am not far behind. Got a early morning case. Just waiting for cheese cake squares to finish baking. You make chocolate chip cookie dough, place 1/2 in bottom of pan, cook for about 5-7 minutes, then make cheese cake batter and put over cookie dough, and cook 10 minutes, and then place other 1/2 of cookie dough on top and cook for 40 minutes. YUM!

Was a nice day spent with family. No evening service tonight, so it was just us. We did purchase some things to use for wall paper on the doll house, and then had some food shopping to take care of. Was a nice day weather wise, but when we got home tonight, the mosquitos were swarming. They should be spraying soon.

Hope it is a good night for y'all.

  It has been a good Easter although I did not make it to church this morning:eek:ops: Spent the afternoon at sisters and bil and did not cheat on diet:thumb:

When it comes to church I am a nomad sometimes here and other times there I go to a Baptist church 3rd friday of each month to hear bluegrass music and get a free meal(before the diet) I am/was Church of Christ member(grew up in that kind of church) also go to a sister church on the east side of town it is bigger and has more going on there. Sometimes go to a "free" store run by the Methodist church as my parents volenteer there sometimes.

Brutus I now have a second OS for my computer a cd sized bootable version of linux cool but have not figured it all out yet. I think it is called feather light linux:cool::wave:

Good evening all,

Sounds like everyone had a pleasant Easter. We went to 8:00 AM service (not sunrise) and spent the rest of the day at son's house with most of the family that lives nearby. Daughter and her youngest were a bit under the weather and had to skip the event. Was a full and noisy house full as DIL also had a single parent friend over who has two young daughters, so we had 5 girls between 4 & 8, plus to grandsons who are older at 13 & 15.

Chief, a belated Happy anniversary to you and Pam.

John Baker, I usually read Garrison Kieler's column in the local paper. Seldom catch him on the radio.

Happy Easter back atcha guys!

Brutus so what is the movie about? Always up for a good train movie. We rented I am Legend. It was good but both wife and step daughter nearly lost it at times.*L*

Overall Easter was good this year.

OOPS, reclinerized too long.
John F wrote, "John Baker, I usually read Garrison Kieler's column in the local paper. Seldom catch him on the radio." Never seen his column in the paper. We listen to his radio show a lot. I'm an NPR listener and supporter. Got the DVD of his movie. Later Sleep time in bed.

Good Morning...........
It's a cold and clear 25 degrees. Going up to 42 today with some snow showers, later. This weather keeps hanging on. We need Spring.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of errands to run and the usual chores around the house. No time for trains today.
Dining car is here and it's breakfast time.
Everyone have a nice day,
Chuck

Good morning folks

It was 33 F as I headed out this morning. We are supposed to reach 49 F. No rain or ice/snow in the forecast for the next few days which is a welcome change.

I spent some time last night inventorying and inputting some of my rolling stock into an inventory program on the computer. I pretty much finished all the reefers, flat cars, and open hoppers. Right now I am entering the stuff that is built or weathered.

I hope everybody has a good day.

HI GIZ,
23 and cold here today to get to 43?
Watched AX MEN on HISTORY last nite pretty good. Back to school today, 51 more to go.
CHIEF, glad you like your SD 40. They look real good together. I run mine like that and it is awesome. Great smoke too. Do the wheels spark going over the switches?
Bgood or B gone,

Morning all. Colder than I thought but quiet. I always guess wrong about what coat to wear. Should get lots of work done though. They're putting in a new electronic parking payment thingie at the depot - it's pretty darn complicated. It got me musing about riding a bike to the train - it's about 6 miles I think. I'd need a new bike... ;) I read Garrison Keiller too - Love his column in the Trib. I think he has become their resident liberal now since Molly Ervins died. Occasionally listen to his APR show online.

I notice the daughter has already gone through most of the money in her account - LOL and it's only Monday - France must be turning out to be more expensive than she thought.

LAZ, not on the inner loops. Will run on outer and see. Did not coming out of siding last night. I had programed engine on a siding. Then put the NS on with it. Pulled NS up to CN and coupled. Selected train # and off they went out of siding and on to innner loop. Backed up to long train, coupled, forward and they ran great. Love the sounds. Hear braking when slowing down and constant brake if you turn throttle to "0" miles per hour.

Doug M, stay warm way up Nawth. Sir J and Kurt will never warm up.

Good Morning Everyone. Been awhile since I have been here. Alot has been happening for the past 8-9 months. I found out about 4 months ago I was going to become a dad. My little one should be here next month, but the doctors are saying since me and my girlfriend were both early there is a high chance that our little one could come early too. We are have a girl. She wanted a boy and I wanted a girl. Well I got a girl.sign1 I thought I would fill you all in on why I haven't been around here lately. That is the main reason. Just been busy getting everything ready for the baby to come. I had to put the trains on hold along with alot of other things. But when I do get time they will come back out of storage and the building will begin on the layout. I guess I am going to have to go and buy a pink train for my little one that way she can follow her dad in the model railroad world.

Kurt - hey, did you ever use TurboCAD? I've got version 7 I think. It's good, but I'm not very good at it. I can never get the 3d stuff right, so just do 2d and multiple views for projects (top, front, side, etc). I think it was about $99 or so for the program?

I have a few friends recommend it...but I won't use it enough to justify buying. Sorry, I was just whining. Drawing by hand brings back a lot of really good memories...except that I can't find all of my drafting tools...Moving half of what you just drew 1/8" is a pain.

Don: Prayers for you ... Get Better.

CSXect: Sorry to hear about the lack of job prospects. I'll keep you in my prayers. After getting yourself back into shape, maybe you should look into modeling!

Mathew: Congratulations! K-Line has an 'It's a Girl' boxcar $25...I have (2) three, and one...extra time....:roll1: right.

Kurt
