For the newer members of The Gauge, a bit of history......

In December of 2000, The previous owners of The Gauge decided to set up a Railroad Hobby Forum. They e-mailed members of various other boards to "announce" The Gauge was just starting out.

3 of those original members have been here continually for the almost 8 years.... Me, Catt ....................... and Shamus....

Shamus was the first Administrator of The Gauge and is still a member in good standing...

According to our calendar he is celebrating his 71st B-day today......

Here is an exact copy of the post I made over at AMR. I was somewhat presumptuous, but I don't think anyone here minded that I included them in my well wishes to Paul (Shamus). For those of you who don't know, he is not only one of England's most cherished and accomplished modelers, but he is also a well known harmonica player.
