I like that!! :)

I think Getter1's right Jaffro. I had no interest in Gundam at first. A long time ago, the I came across a photo of a Hayku Shiki model(plastic) and that got me going. Then when searching for Gundam reference and stuff I stumbled across June's Hi-Nu. The photos of the plastic kit would have been enough to get me totally hooked but when I learned that it was made of paper?! Simply astounding!!!

Give it a shot buddy, though finish your Daring project first. ;)

I hear ya all saying to go for the legs but I already printed out the shield lastnight. There are 5 pages for this alone! It'll be around 30cm long when done. Plus, I never designed a joint for the folding mechanism on the shield as it would have to be really small. Upon saying that, it can be achieved by using a pin/cocktail stick at four points in the shield so I'll be doing that!!! I just want to show it off and give an idea of the size of tis model.

Once that's done I'll revert back to the plan of building the legs. Soaring, maybe when it's done it'll give you ideas for ankle joints in your Hazel modifications?

Later guys! :)

Skip, your designing skills amaze me almost as much as your building skill:thumb::thumb:. I'm gonna keep practicing on the sd's for a while, till I can try a full size.
Keep up the fantastic work:mrgreen:
p.s. the smaller one is pl***ic, just for reference :p

I've started the shield. I have the spine done and most of one of the panels that fold away. It's massive!!! Well, long anyway. 33cm long in total, pretty big really for a shield eh?

Nothing to show as far as pics go yet so bare with me. :) I want to get at least oneside done with a hinge so that it'll fold. ;)

You're pretty brave to pose a paper model next to a lighter. Good work though, can't wait to see more.

Thanks guys.

Paragon, yeah I do like to live on the edge!! Silly really. :)

Thanks Kezn, a poseable Voltron would be really cool. I'm looking forward to updates there buddy. ;)

I'm back and working on the shield now. Shouldn't be too long before I have something to show.

This is totally awesome man...I really love the way you did the fingers...looks really cool, yet from what I can tell isn't overly complicated..

Great job, looking forward to the end!

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys!! :)

Taz, I tried to keep it as simple as possible without having to compromise too much on the movement and look of the model. So some of it is easy peasy, then again some of it so far has been tricky. But only tricky, I wouldn't say any part of the model so far is too difficult.

I'm saying that as an begginer-intermediate modeller. I've actually not built that many models, I've mainly only designed them.

Thanks for watching guys. I promise I wuill have an updae soon. :)

Finally! I have a few new pics. I've not bothered to try and sow the motion of the shield yet as it's incomplete. When It's done I'll create a new GIF for it. ;)

The build is a little dirty as I've been trying to do bits here and there so haven't been able to stay and hold parts in place while glue dries or anything like that. Just had too little time lately.

The shield will fit into the grappler that's housed in the forearm. You'll be able to deploy or close it depending on what you fancy.

There's more to do yet like spare energy magazines for the beam rifle and another handle. I'll get to those soon.

Hope you like it. I'll have the final bits and pieces done soon along with the opposite side. :)

Thanks again Joe. ;)

Sorry for the lack of updates here lately. This isn't my usual pace, I've been busy with sorting out my garden after the winter-making the most of the good weather we've been having.

Plus, my son turned 2yrs old today!!!! Hip hip! Hooray!

Things should get back to normal soon. ;)
