A fabulous night for an eclipse.

We had 100% clear skies- the stars sparkled, the moon went rose colored and we just enjoyed the universe. The bitter cold was almost a delight in challenging us to stand and gaze, almost. It did keep us in the mood tho'. We're headed for Long beach Island, NJ for a winter weekend. I believe there will only be full moons there.

Miami is clouded over -- can't tell if the moon eclipsed or not. Last I saw it was still bright (in a cloud break).

Out AZ way
This is the winter rainy season here in the Phoenix area. Lots of clouds and it really dumped big time around 9:30. I didn't even bother to look. The weather guy suggested that we all go down to southern Arizona where it wasn't as cloudy. Can't you just visualize, 2.5 million people heading to Tucson down I-10 just to catch the eclipse?

Nice shot, Mikey. It was clear and cold here, so it made for great viewing. Since it was 0 degrees here, I was thankful that I could see the eclipse through a window in my nice warm house!

At about 10:00 we had a perfect clear view. It was a cold -20*C but worth it to go out and see the eclipse. Very beutiful.

Now that would be a sight to see!sign1

Sadly, cloudy where we were and while we were out early in the morning (going to work), we were out too late to see it even if it was clear. <grumbling>
