Thanks Chris,
Yeah, I made the story up. I sometimes like to write little short stories to spice up a picture. It just makes it more interesting.
Sorry Jeffrey, guess I didn't realize that they did indeed start on Firday's. I had this pic attached to the feb 15 thread and changed it. I was all excited about starting the thread and missed that one small detail. I'll just do this for a while...wall1 Anyhoo, back to the basement.

Would you walk in there without a pair of high boots?

Sure is. I bought a bunch 3+ years ago, and have since "traded in" all of mine for Athearn units. The RPP has an incorrect cab.

I'm on my last two RPP now, the one shown there, that was a custom paint job for a member of another forum, and one more that I put a 4 window cab in, I'm painting it and selling it on eBay.

Kevinkrey, how many of those Difco cars do you have? I just got 2 and haven't gotten them out of the box yet.

yeah, my book was talking about how to enlarge the windows to get it right. but it looks like you already did an excellent job of that. I don't think it looks "incorrect" enough to be a problem.

I know i'm waiting for my RPP C32-8 to get here, and i'm already gearing up for all the details and things needed to make it awesome.

Keep It Moving!
The cut quickly became known as Blum Cut by the railraod workers and it's been said that at night the ghosts of the plots that were moved have been known to appear in the middle of the tracks.

I'd be worried more about the creep of the land. I've heard some scary stories of land slowly shifting out coffins and stuff.

G.E.C.,
The crews were concerned about this as well and they have erected a stone retaining wall to try to prevent it from happening. I haven't installed the wall yet but it will extend the length of the cut on the cemetary side. I also have some funeral people to add to the cemetary to complete the scene.

Quote: One hits me hard and that is the "diner" in chessie4155's shot. I used to have lunch in one almost identical, except the tracks were the PRR and when one came by it would rattle the china. It was in mirror image location as modeled.
Charlie, Do you have pics of that Diner? I'd like to see that.. I was setting buildings around at different locations on the layout and liked the way this looked..Dumb Luck I guess that it turns out to be like the real thing:mrgreen:
Oh yeah, what was the blue plate special?:p

Great shots everyone:thumb: Unfortunently, I have been very busy with a science fair project, merit badge chalenge stuff, etc., so I don't have any pics. I will have time to work on trains later, however, so I should present something this week:thumb:
