I'm not normally that slow, it's a Sunday though so kids are home, plus this is a fiddly part to build so would probably take you a week! LOL

I'm glad to see you doing something you want to do and enjoy doing. I'm looking forward to this and I'm starting to get into the whole thing as a result of this and a couple of other projects. Got to say the "Transformers" movie kind of got my interest.

Joe, I love Transformers! Though I have to say, Gundam kicks Transformer ass! Except Optimus Prime! I love that guy! :)

Gundam is superb! Not just as a modelling subject(there are probaly a hundred+ different mobile suits you could do) but the different series are all fantastic! Well, the three I've seen so far have been. I'm working on seeing the rest.

Yeah, I'm happy doing this. I'm more of a designer than a builder I think. But with regards to the Sulaco, I'd just had my fill of it over the last 2 years and just needed to step way back and get interested in something again. I don't know how long for but, but for now it's Gundam!! ;)

Forgive my ignorance, but what is Gundam? Is it a TV show, a video game, a movie, a toy line? I'm honestly in the dark, I figure it's Japanese Anime?

LOL. It's all of the above! :) I think it started as Japanese anime in the late 70's. Then it bacame a toyline by Bandai. There have also been numerous games too for the Playstation(all 3 models).

A Gundam is the term used for the Mobile suit (big ass robot). Though not all mobile suits are Gundam. Some are given different names/terms.

I'm still new so I'll stop there incase I start talking absolute rubbish. :)

Google "Gundam", you'll find many results.

I bet if it wasn't for those models, Gundam and Transformers would have long been dead by now...

Maybe. The range is extensive! Plenty to choose from. Plus, the new series spawn a new range of kits and toys. It's the way it goes.

The new Transformer movie was no exception. The original desgns for the movie had to be simplified so that the future toyline would be easier to produce. Except Transformers was different than Gundam. That started out originally as a toyline, THEN the animated series.

Toys and movies. Awesome! :)

Aha, I see. I did a bit of a google search and know a bit more now. It's like Mech-Warrior on Steroids then.sign1

A big suit that you control to do your fighting for you, kind of like Johnny Soko and the giant robot, only Johnny Soko is inside. What was that cartoon........from the 80's?

I'm starting to get it now, like big giant mechanized Godzilla things.
