Edited out & Pm'd Phone Number -- N Gauger Tomorrow if I go out of the hotel.:drag1:
Hatter, you surfaced from the honeymoon. :thumb:bounce7

Snowing up a storm. Interstate is covered. His is a fine dry blowing snow. NC has big flakes and wet snow. Will not blow like this does. Coming down fast. Up to the room and popcoorn for the night. This place is full of kids running wild. Where are the parents? Probably not come back down tonight. Laptop and their new Virison internet service are not talking. Vista I bet. Will update my Google side bar but when I try to load a page, says not connected. Later.

Chief,
Well just watched the news and they are calling for around 7 inches over there in Post Falls and Hayden where your hotel is. Be glad your not over here we went from snow to freezing rain. And we are supposed to get nearly 7 inches also.

How long is your stay?

Snow, snow, snow --- snow! I think that's a song from White Christmas! Bing, Danny, Ellen and Rosemary on a train, keeping the dining car open.

Chief, if you are connecting with wireless, it might be someone has a wireless phone running on the same ghz as your modem -- this happened at our house and we had to buy all new phones!

Good morning Ozzy and NGauger - quiet here this AM? Keep up on those pain pills, Ozzy - don't let it sneak up on you. Today I have to do laundry and get packed. Watching some Dr. Who episodes from the dvr right now, maybe time for some trains later? TTFN

Morning all. Internet working great. Jim F, think you are right. I noticed a computer [GordanPC] pops on and I seem to have trouble. Only thing is I have tried to run it wired [available in room] and get the same results. Last night when it was working, it was so slow and that was a problem. Might work rest of today or tonight as everyone but me will be leaving. We'll see. Snowed all night and still snowing. Looks pretty. Might not drive the miles to the store. Will see later. Interstate was not too bad yesterday. Got the all wheel drive. Time to shower, dress and go see if little munchkins are taking over the breakfast room. wall1 Love children but uncontroled ones, no. Wife said couple let baby disturb early Church Part of the time she could not hear preacher. Little girl is now 1 and has always disturbed Church. Parents just sit and play with her. Rude. Later

Chief, can you switch off wireless modem when using network cable? Could be there is a phone signal or some other signal scrammbling your connection? Not sure how that would work, if the computer was getting data from both at once and one was "jamming"....

Chief,

From what they are saying on tv I would advise not traveling just yet.

Storm Watch*L* it's 33 degrees and we have 2 inches of slush/ice/snow mix on the ground. Around the area has received mainly 8 to 10 inches of snow and they have had reports of up to 22 inches north of Spokane. We are in the valley and we changed to a freezing rain last evening where most of area remained snow. Now it has turned back to snow and they have issued an advisory for 2 to 6 inches of more snow.

Side note so far this season we have had 46 inches of snow so far and last year we had 25 inches for the whole season.

Just got ERNI back on line after a weeks absence, PSU blew, got a 600 Watt thruster, nuthin will blow this baby (famous last words), did a general upgrade, loadsa gigs of everything, been told that this set up is fine for VISTA. It appears that VISTA is too much for most run of the mill pooters, (MS are quiet about this).
Ran Train Sim without any frame freezes audio sneezes and such, I guess you cannot have enough chuff in your pooter these days, no doubt this thing will be obsolete by the end of the week!!
A mild evening in Stockport with cloud a SW wind, light showers and a low of 8degC.(48 to you Luddites).
Lionel is running fine, haven't had time to try any of the Chiefs suggestions (lamps across the CW80s output terminals). It certainly is an interesting device (flicking the power on and off to change direction, and then the loco dos its own thing).
1930 GMT here and a long dry day has indicated a trip to the Armoury is inevitable with the possibility that inebriation could be imminent.
Hope Monday is kind to you all, by the time you arise it will be half over and my dear Lady and I will be heading for Huddersfield.
Had some problems with IE7 on this site, got rid of Google and Yahoo, now all seems well.
