I'm fine - just a little pain (maybe 1 on a scale of 10) now and meds are dealing with it easily - CT scan will tell more. I think maybe the one that cut me already passed earlier. Can't go to work tomorrow but I'll try to go Wednesday for a few hours before the CT scan. Have some stuff I need to get done this week before my trip.

It was close but I did get my shelves up. Worked half day today, and then nephew came over with his family. Had a real nice visit.

Control Panel (work in process)

It is actually a printer stand, and the drawers slide out. It is on casters and rolls under that layout.

47b8df00b3127cceb45989f6381800000026100EZOWbRmyYsU

The bottom shelf has the 2 ZW's, one new and one PW. Notice the ckt bkr box Chief? Your design. Chris made one and I made one.

47b8df00b3127cceb45989f2381c00000026100EZOWbRmyYsU

The middle drawer has the transformers for the G Scale trains on the elevated tracks.

And finally, the top shelf is the control panel. Lots 'n lots of work goin on here. All the wires come up through the paper feed hole in the shelf, (remember printer stand), then distributed in side the bottomless box. The box is hinged for accessability.

So that's all I have, hope everyone has a great day!!

Kurt, prayers. Jim F. on drugs. What is knew? Don B. think I would say good job? Not me. [would go to that big head :p] Off to bed. Been asleep off and on since I got home around 8:30. Did get to see Two and a Half Men. Funny show. Got a Yankee cold, sore throat and ears. Why is a Yankee cold? Anything bad is Yankee. Good things are Southern. :thumb:

Good night all.

CSXetc: Great news on the weightloss! You deserve a pat on the back my friend.

dbaker48: Great progress! How 'bout a photo of the control panel?

Brutus: Are you sure you have kidney stones? Bride just finished with gall stones, and they were sending her to ER when she had her episodes.

Thanks for the prayers everyone.

Morning all. Was sunny and weather alert went of. Talking about wintery mix. Now it has clouded up.

Stuffed up. Need some hot grits. :thumb:

Sir J, let it snow, let it snow on you. announce1:p

US Airways has a time with the suffix on my name. [III] Always get the best ladies on their Preferred Customer line. Lady actually re-routed my return flight for free [was going to cost $600 the other day????]. Now flying from Phoenix to Charlotte to RDU. Charlotte instead of Reagan. Now I do not have to fly into Yankeeland.

Morning all. Late night tonight with my class. Snow slowing and supposed to be sunny then colder.

Don, all I can say is wow! What a collection - the shelves and transformer tables look great.

Hope the Chief doesn't infect us all with his cold. No drinking from the coffee pot!

Kurt, sorry for the news. Prayers said.
CSX, good luck with the job. One good thing to what you are doing with weight loss, it actually does make a difference with job seekers to be seen in "better health". Keep up the good work!
Don, that power station/controls station look great. I am thinking along the same lines, but will probably make a custom shelf system in which it is hinged sideways to open and give access to the back. You have given me some ideas...I like how neat it is, I hope mine is nearly so.
Chief, A good bit warmer here. Grits would be good, but wife made flapjacks this morning...I'm full.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Made some pancakes for breakfast, I guess great minds think alot, Dennis! Took a sick day - also kids are finally getting a snow day, so would have had to take off today anyway. I'll see how it goes today and maybe work a few hours tomorrow morning before the CT scan. Kurt, apparently these are the classic symptoms - hematuria, low back pain, pain in another area... Like I said, this is apparently a small one, but sharp since there was a lot of blood? That really freaked me out and was the reason I went to doctor as soon as they were open yesterday. Also, apparently I've been having these for a while, but this is the biggest one so far? They are doing a CT Scan tomorrow at 12:30 so I'll keep you posted as soon as I know more. I'll say one thing, I knew right away when the Darvocet wore off! Usually the only meds I take are my sinus meds and these are not supposed to be very strong, but they are knocking me out a little. If I seem a little goofier than usual, you can just put it down to the pills, okay?

One funny thing - doc gave me a hard time since I hadn't been in to see them in 2 years? I thought about it and the last time I remember being sick was when I had my appendicitis and that was about 2 years ago, I guess April 2006??? That's the last I saw him too. I told him, every time I go to see him he sends me out for CT scans, so maybe if he wouldn't do that I would visit more often?

Has anyone seen a movie called The Station Agent or something? I might have to rent that one. Can't go out today as I wouldn't drive on these pills and also wife took my truck to work. I don't usually let her drive my truck, so she is really enjoying this. She keeps calling me and I think - oh, oh this is it, she wrecked my little truck!?! She's really enjoying this wall1

Dennis, I'm sending you an email with my cellphone number on it, just FYI.

Don, I really like your layout and all that hard work has really paid off for you! Using a printer stand was a really great idea, too!

Chief, can you send me the plans for your breaker box?

Reading my new TCA magazine last night and I'll tell you guys, if there was no other reason to join TCA, this magazine is great - Really makes me want to get some prewar stuff one day though, so maybe a little dangerous?! I'm under strict instructions not to order anything until after my trip though :eek:ops: which is probably a good thing.

Oh well, I'll be off and on here all day I suppose and I'm sure I bored you all with this long long post, so TTFN and thanks for the good wishes. Feel free to keep posting, I'll try not to interrupt with lots of replies....

 Hi everyone thanks for the encouragement on diet, as long as I get all six shakes in a day and get at least 64 oz of water a day there is no way I could not lose some weight it just bounces around from 2 lbs to 5 or 6 lbs per week.

Job wise it is a temp situation I hope:nope:

Pray all for those in need.

Snow here in Columbus, city not plowing streets unless we get at least 4" due to city services cut back:shock:

Have not fully explored this forum yet but lots to keep one busy reading:thumb:

Thats just what I don't need so guess I'll restrain myself from getting such a tempting mag at this point but will keep it in mind should things get better.

RT - I talked to my friend in SC yesterday, I think I sent you an email about it.

CSXEct - congrats on the weight loss, keep up the good work. I had lost a bunch of weight a few years ago and put most of it back on. Was surprised when the nurse weighed me yesterday - not in a good way. :(

CSXect, Great job on the weight. I have been trying to lose the 30 lbs that I gained back since heart surgery 3 years ago. Down 10, but 20 to go and these are the hard ones. Also good luck on the job situation. The economy probably is causing some second thoughts on the part of your company's customers.

Kurt, Thoughts and prayers are with you and family.

Don, You are making real progress, how about a shot of the control panel. :thumb:

Chief, Please hold your breath while posting, we don't want to catch what you have.

Brutus, Hope you get squared away before your trip. Wouldn't be fun having an attack on the plane or at a training session.

Jeffrey, Looks like your industrial area is thriving.

The weather here is deteriating. This morning was clear and cold, now temp is rising slowly and it is getting cloudy. Supposed to get a wintery mix. I just love that prediction. That means they don't have a clue.

Brutus I'am not checking housing out at this time due to I need to have a job offer first then I'll check into that area then befor I make a decission as I'm looking in such a broad area. I'm basicly looking in SC, NC, TN, and the southern half of VA.

Speaking of southern I had to wait at the crossing today for a strange line of trains it was a UP,NS,NS,UP Is NS so under powered as stated in another post that it needed two UP's to help pull its load and I'll tell you there where only about 35 cars I only saw 2 grits cars thou you know those weird looking gondola with the strange covers on them.

other than that it was a mixed fright set not to manny covered hoppers more boxcars than anything, of coarse didn't have camera

OK, Requests for Control Panel picture. (Work in process) 5 Toggle switches are for engine yard.

This is version 1, The artwork on the top is a color coded track layout. Switches and indicator lights will be on the track for the relative position. The Ross switch will be on the right side in two veritcal rows. The track switches are being connected to the TIU's, and a manual control. (May use a probe and grounding stud on the layout drawing, as Bob Nielson has discussed. Then have the light change colors on the manual button located on the right side.) The wires all run up through the paper cut-out hole. The box is also hinged for accessibility.

Okay RT! Don, looks good to me! Played chess with my son until he beat me and wanted to quit ;-) Thx, Jefelectric. Nice pic, Jeffrey. Think I'll load my MS train program on the laptop for the trip and see how it runs on this thing.
