Ooohhh maaan.....I wish I could do damn crappy work like that...!!! :eek:

Now to the questions....What colors are you using primarily for your scenery..?? That's the look I've been trying to get....but...They either turn out too yellow, orangy, and every other color but that....

Truly yours...Color blind. :cry:

I have used many colors but the peimary Bases are cheap Acylics from Hobby Lobby . Americana's Fawn Fauve , Milk Chocolate , Raw Umber , Honey Brown , Traditional Raw Sienna , Traditional Burnt Umber and Accent's Tumbleweed. From There it is what ever looks right. I use them Very thined with water and always an over coat of black wash before the turf. Many tones of grey for the rocks.
Mike :rolleyes::wave:

Hey Mike...Thanks for the info....I've used half of those listed....Need to add the Fawn Fauve (Mauve..??), Milk Chocolate and Honey brown. That black wash goes over EVERYTHING..?? I do use them very thinned...so I got that part right. I'll keep at it and see what comes up...

"Need to add the Fawn Fauve (Mauve..??)" Yep , Fauve and the black wash over all. I gotta tell you I also use a plaster mix called Model Mount that was formulated by a gentleman in Albuquerque who passed away many years ago but is still being mixed by Trains West in Albuquerque.

Trains west

If anyone tries this stuff please tell them up there you heard it here.

Thanks for the clarification...Is there something special about this plaster..??

BTW...I drove through Alb'que several years ago (too many...) and just loved the place. So much so that I went back to look for a job hoping to settle there...Unfortunately it was not a good time for job hunting overall...so I didn't stay....:cry:
