Evening Folks,
Not much in the news arena today. I had trouble getting on this site all day, I could get the page then it would freeze. this is first time today I got on. Maybe my laptop and this site don't like each other. Sunny and 43 today but lots of high wind and rain last nite. No trains ran here today just didn't get to it. Later (maybe) Sir James

Besure Adaware and popup blockers are off. When I was running that, had to hold control key down. Now not necessary per TW rep. Only popup blocker is the Windows version. Mine runs a lot faster and better. Three stirers on CTT [I think].

Chief, don't forget to plan on the 16th as well for the TCA openhouse at Strasburg.

Had an interesting experience today. When traveling from the "National Toy Train Museum" today on my way to lunch, I had to stop for the lowered crossing gates. I wondered what was up as they normally don't run during the day this time of year. Well I had a treat. The Strasburg 44 toner was towing Reading #902 & #903 toward Strasburg. I reached for the camera that I always carry in my truck and ---the batteries were dead. No problem I thought, as I always carry a spare set in the bottom of the case. I hurried up to the Strasburg parking lot reached for the case and --- only one battery to be found. I did get to watch while they crossed 896 and backed the pair of F7s onto a track at the PA Rail Musuem. Stopped and talked to one of the watchers who turned out to be a member of the restoration crew that worked on these diesels. They are going to be parked at the Museum all winter. Will try to get some pictures next week if they are not covered with snow by then.

Question for all of you computer experts. My main computer has developed a problem. When I start it, it lights up for about 2 seconds and then shuts down. Any suggestions before I start to tear it apart? I built this one several years ago and it has been a solid runner ever since. Put in a new hard drive a couple of months ago and had no problems. BTW I am typing this on my laptop. My first though is that it may be a power supply, but that is just a guess.

One more thing, they are building a new HO layout at the museum so there will be something new to see if you have been there before.

Dr John, we felt it last night. The closer to the Lake the stronger it was. I just thought that Buckeye was still stooping his feet!.

Tom, the Buckeyes were in trouble just after the flip of the coin and the ref says, "Yu' alll, stand over dere and you'ns stand over here."

One of the hardest test I've taken in a long time is the railroad safety test for contractors. It is dangerous out there. Doug, that conductor is going to have it rough for a while.

Off to Florida this weekend for a meeting.

Hey RT - where is your sale? On the TCA buy/sell page or somewhere on zealot???

Folks have been worried about you, hope you are okay? What's the word on your porch?

Doug, sorry to hear about your friend's loss, that's too bad!

John, sounds like either a short on your computer somewhere or a capacitor got fried on the motherboard.... Just my 2 cents. If the switch is good and the power supply is good, then check the motherboard - see if you can still smell any ozone smell anywhere after you try powering it up? This happened to a buddy and had to rebuild the whole thing.

Dennis, I sent you and email, but it sounds like it's highly doubtful we could go shopping or anything. The 2 days we overlap, I'll be busy until probably about 5:30 and not in the park etc. Oh well, maybe next time!

Finally got set up at work with computer account so I can travel. Went online and started figuring out flights - called wife to see what she thought before I "purchased" them - oh, she tells me I better make sure they are approved. Just cause they are in FedTraveler doesn't mean my office will approve. So I went and asked secretary and found out I'm a dummy, we don't input this stuff. We just need Our Account so they can go in as us and do it? What??? How stupid is this.... Oh well, plus only 1 flight approved on Monday 1/28 that I can make since I have to drop off kids at school/say goodbye so won't get to hotel until prob about 9 PM and leaving is even worse, won't get back to home prob until about 11 PM. :(

Good morning folks

It was a more seasonable 36 F as I headed to work this morning. Our high today will be 53 F and we are expecting rain later.

No major modeling last night. We had Cub Scout Den Meetings and rough cuts for Pine Wood Derby cars. I did look over the passenger cars I decaled and had to pop a few bubbles and hit them again with a coat of Solvaset.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good Morning.................
It is a cold 32 degrees. Going to 54 today with, maybe, some rain later. Taking it easy today. Later I will spend some time in train room. Need to play.
Everyone have a nice day,
Chuck
