I got a hobby lobby card for xmas and while I was there found those little woodland scenics tombstones, I couldnt resist.....sadly that was about the only fun thing I found......the toledo area really needs a good hobby shop badly....maybe I should open one....hehehe...

Hey, I lived in Toledo for a while back around the mid 90's. We lived near the intersection of Jackman and Sylvania. Back then, there was a pretty decent hobby shop, I think on Monroe, near the Franklin Park mall. I always wanted to get down to Bowling Green to tour the Corvette factory but never got around to it. I have the same tombstone kit and have not yet been able to find a good place to plant it on my layout.

yeah, that place was called hobby stop west as I remember, but it is gone, the only other one is farther down monroe, called riders hobbies, but the train section there is pretty sad, not much better than hobby lobby, and more expensive, they seemed to be much more geared towards RC stuff, they can order you whatever you want, but whats the point of that? I can order whatever I want myself off of the net, and it will most likely be less expensive, and it will come right to my house. Bowling green would be a great place for a small train shop downtown. Im half tempted to look into it.........the vette plant is in Bowling Green Kentucky by the way, not Ohio...I wish it was here, Id love to work there....

The local club in my neighbourhood has a grave yard scene on their layout which shows a funeral taking place. Except the minister is holding up the misses who has apparently fainted because the coffin lid has opened and her dearly departed's hand has begun stick out from underneath it.

Ya didn't think you could get rid of the old fart that easily could ya!?!

awesome stuff! I was tempted being a fan of zombie movies to do a scene of little half decomposed figures rising from the graves but decided against it....I do want to do something funny there with figures eventually though
