See you are building up your knowledgebase to be the official guru on Legacy, Chief - keep up the good work!

Gargraves is tubular track, if you look at the end!

Went over to friends' house and exchanged gifts, ate too much, and now I'm worn out. Didn't get anything done today - I've been banned from the basement/layout area until the Big Day Tuesday because my beloved stored a bunch of stuff down there that is top secret? Watched a bunch of Dr. Who the dvr taped - looks like we are zeroing in on a new season, too?! Also see a new tv show based on the Terminator movies is coming out, hope it's good.

Evening guys, (actually kinda a late). Been working in the train room all day, doing wiring. Hands, back, knees sore. That is strange never used to get this sore with last layout.
- Dumb things I did so far...
Have like 2000 feet of 18awg wire, so instead of buying 300 feet of 16 or 14, figured I would just twist this stuff together with a drill and use it. What a pain, only took me about 10 hours longer to route it, 10 lines of twisted wire 40 feet long. Wont do that again, not worth it.

2nd thing, didn't get all the wiring holes drilled in the layout frame, so that was tricky, especially now that there are some screws holding the plywood down.

But, thats the way it is.....

Oh now I have a short I have to track down as well its in the ground circuit.

BTW Chief thanks for the research, copies made and filed.

Enjoyed the transformer discussion! That was cool.

John, tomorrow Heavy mail day.... May get a Legacy Box early?????, and also a magazine.

Need to go wrap presents. So just in case, and maybe I'll be the first on Christmas Eve but Thank you, all of you !!!! You contribute a great joy to my life.

AND

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILYS !!!!

Good morning folks

It was 39 F as I headed onto the empty streets this morning. Our high is supposed to be around 49 F. A big chance from yesterday when it was 61 F when went out. I am in work for a half day. I like coming in today since it is quiet and I can catch up on a few things with little or no disturbances. Tonight we will go to Christmas Eve services at church where my daughter will be playing the flute as part of the Youth Orchestra.

We survived the mall, Friday night. We waited about an hour and a half to see Santa. Yesterday we had to do some last minute shopping since my son changed a few things on his list for Santa. We did go and see National Treasure, Book of Secrets on Saturday.

I finished weathering the flatcar decks. I still have to go over them with a wash but I’ll do that when I weather the rest of the car. I now have four more to do. I began weathering the hood of the coil cars and also their wheels.

I hope everybody has a good day and a Merry Christmas.

It gets to one!
Just ordered a siding set from Charles Ro, spent the morning doing a 10'x9' track and base board plan for the perimeter of my bedroom, will have to get rid of double bed and replace with a 3' divan. In the new year will order the base boards from White Rose Modelworks. then go looking for more FasTrack, a turntable, accesories and stock.
The fun has just began folks.
Hi Dennis, Take it steady running the new pub in, and take some pic's please before you fall overaussie.

Have a good one everybody.

Happy Christmas Eve! Ozzy, get it checked, a lung resection is a lot better than not getting it treated if it is CA. We do a lot of them and other then getting over the "winded feeling" for awhile, the patients do well.
Had a early Christmas present today. Opened my email to find a message from the Orphanage that we adopted my daughter from. It was great to see the photos of the kids and workers. Was kind of funny in that they had signs and read "Happy Year New". Some things do not cross the language barrier too well.
Chief, you are right, it has gotten loud at times. All the toys and games making lots of noise, makes me want to run the Polar Express on some Fastrack! Anyway, we are having fun and will enjoy the next few days with the kids.
God Bless and Merry Christmas
Dennis

Good Morning from the Heartlands!

Our Christmas Celebration is nearly over. Our oldest son and family arrived Friday night so we had an early Christmas on Saturday and Sunday as our our youngest son also arrived on Friday. That really worked out well for everyone as they needed to travel today and tomorrow. It's already MUCH to quiet around here with the my best little buddy gone with her parents, she really enjoyed laying under the tree and watching the Polar Express roar by, will try and do some pics tomorrow.

Our weather has been OK, we received about 3" of snow on Saturday, most of the heavy stuff was east of us. Tomorrow we might bet another 2", hope not as our youngest son needs to get back to MPLS/St. Paul.

All three rooms of trains were running Saturday, what a great time:thumb:, the traditions continue.

Merry Christmas!

Jon

You get your butt over there, sir!!! It is not better not finding out. I am now dealing with a good friend who never went and found out and now he is really suffering. He has had to close his business and all of his future plans on retiring in about ten years in the Smoky Mountains are on hold. If he had caught it early, well you know the story.

Wow - Happy Birthday Chief and many more! Merry Christmas in case I don't catch some of you before The Day! Set dvr to tape Holiday Affair on TMC in about an hour or two - said to feature Lionel Trains prominently in the storyline? Sounds good to me! Going over to my folks later for a big ham dinner - we're taking dressing. Cornbread dressing with sausage - Yummy!

Keep yer powder dry, Laz and Good Hunting! I like shooting black powder, but haven't done it in a long while. Maybe talk to my dad and see if we can take my boy to a range one of these days. He's really getting interested in WWII and stuff and my Dad has a couple M1s we could fire.

Blueberry Hill, hope the waitress takes good care of you tomorrow with lots of great food!

Sorry - accidentally clicked on post - Buckeye, great pic! Ozzy, God bless and it's better to know. I need to get a checkup too, but changing doctors. John Baker - sounds like the railroad plans are expanding! Jon, no snow here despite storms Sunday night. Dennis, hope no cases on these great days. Sir James, come over later for some of this dressing, it should be great - using MiL's recipe. Dr. John, Tom, Other Tom, Jeffrey, CNWMAN, TMCCMAN, NGauger and all the rest, I sure appreciate all you guys on this forum and hope all have a great HOLY DAY!
