Here we are starting another great set of weekly pics. Unfortunately, I still don't have the knack (lighting, focus, etc) quite right. I am thinking of bringing in a ringer to take my photos for me. lol.

Here is my new passenger car. A Kato Business car being pulled by an A-B-A carrying only a mail car. I think this is over powered just a bit. Talk about your small pike trains!

Here's one of a railfan bouncing along a dirt road to watch the valve gear of an Erie berk.

Can someone tell me what they do to post good quality large images here? This photo was very nice before reducing to fit here. Thanks

Hi Roger, When I download (upload?) pics from my camera, they get saved in a program called MGI Photosuite SE. When I post, I just click on manage attachments and double click on the file I want. I'm not very computer savvy!

Great photos all. I went back home to Roanoke Virginia to visit my parents, and I just couldn't resist snapping this shot.

From the real world, and still as I remember it from the early 1980's.

Actualy, in Bristol T.N./V.A. (the town is on the borderline), where my grandparents live, I saw a stone bridge labeled for these guys! Wish I could've got a pic of it, although it's on the way to a train store I remember:mrgreen:

BIG Improvements on the RRR

Great shots everyone! DeckRoid, A-B-A's on two car trains are fine in my book!

Alright, now I need to add to this thread. For starters, another car is added to the roster, a CNW no less:p I carefully weathered this one as to not do it to the scale of my Northwestern Leasing Reefer, but rather just seen a few years. Hauling it it the finally high-iron ready 1116, prowdly showing off its new horns:

Then I headed down to the parking lot of Riverside Station, where there was a big surprise waiting:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the very first Riverside excurision!:

CNW F3 4056 has been refittted with Kadee #5's just for this moment (her original P2K couplers were hard to work with, her front coupler just plain useless and the rear constantly jamming closed). The passenger car is my long-awaited Athearn aniversary Heavyweight observation car "Irvin R. Athearn" no. 1947, and yes, it does have 6 wheel trucks:mrgreen:

George, your photography looks great to me as does that fine business car! Meanwhile, I'm still using the old point and shoot. :)

A KP&W freight rolls behind the as yet unnamed oil supply company while a fuel barge is pushed into place by the tow boat "Robert H.". Kings Port Steel looms in the background.

Season's Greetings everyone---another great start to the week---Gary,beautiful shots of your Erie Berkshire---now thats a locomotive I would like to add to my roster---it looks very much like the Toronto Hamilton & Buffalo berks #201 and #202.I have heard that Division Point is producing a model of these locomotives in 2008,just in time for a retirement present (if I can convince my wife)---hopefully you will post more shots of your beautiful collection of steam engines
Here is my contribution for the week---NYC switcher working the yard on Doctor Wayne's EG&E
