Lazy Town: Sportacus' Airship.

Hey guys,

I've been wanting to design a model to hang from my girls ceiling.

Right now they love Lazy Town. Do any of you happen to have any DVDs of this show?

Reason I ask is, it's proving hard to find pics of it via google. So, I was hoping that some kind members here could help me with screen captures of the airship that Sportacus flies around in.

It'd make a great little model I think and my kids would love it. It wouldof course be made available here to everyone. :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank,

Skip

I think I can help with the screen caps. We have a DVD. Let you know in a bit.

Hey Skip,

I've talked to my wife a few days ago about designing this ship.

May I join you in this project?

My daughter loves Lazy Town also! So I think that would be great to have the dirigible hang from her ceiling.

Thanks Paul, that'd be great. I've googled this thing to death and only get the same image of it but it's always low resolution which is useless.

Claudio!! Great minds must think alike eh? LOL! Again, I'd be honored to work with you on this. Hell,at this rate I may as well move to Brazil. :)

I think it'd be a fairly easy one to do, as it's a kids show, texturing this will be a nice job too. Simple colours. Thanks for offering Claudio, and thanks Paul. :)

Happy, happy, happy. :)

You gonna make so those propeller thingies line up like they do in the show so the airship can go faster?:)

LOL.

Yeah I'd like to have the three seperate props. Have them on a rod or dowel so that they can be moved from standard to turbo.

Dvd

These caps are from the DVD :thumb:

For some reason when it's watched on screen it's in wide screen, but when I take a snapshot with powerdvd changes it to normal screen.

I also had to resize the pics, so you should get better quality.

This is the type of pic you will get from the DVD and you can listen to the music.

Just an update on this one.

For those interested in this model(I know I am :) ), Claudio has started modelling it today. I have to say it looks damn good!

Paul, that DVD was invaluable for this. Thank you. ;)

I guess not too many members are that interested in this one?? I bet you are, you're just too embarassed to admit you like a kids show!! LOL

Personally I think Lazy Town rocks! I think it's one of the best kiddies TV shows around at the moment.

Anyway. :)

Here's an update on both the mesh and the texturing for this model:

Thanks again buddy.

Good news about the mesh being done today. I think I can get the textures done this evening then. :)

Man! I need to buy some serious ink for all the cool models coming out lately! I'm not just talking about this(my kids will love this one), but all the other designs that are surfacing this year.

This NEXT year, you mean.

Well, I gave up buying ink. I print all my models at a print service (like U.S. FedEx Kinkos)

Yeah, I mentioned doing that from now on in the Tumbler thread. Makes life a bit more painless. :)

True, next year is going to be awesome!
