Prayers for all in need. Kids are off tomorrow and already getting attitude because I told them they can't stay up later than I do! I've gotta work tomorrow and Friday, but saving leave for the week after Christmas.

It was about 76 degrees today and we could have snow on Thursday?!

John Baker - you ordered your electro-converso-Lionelator?

Looks like BUCKEYE made it into CTT. Check out page 12 under the CORRESPONDENCE. The first one about building a realistic bridge. Now who else do we know that is an engineer on bridges that lives in OHIO? Threw me off why he did put down GAHANNA, OHIO instead of ROGERS CORNER, OHIO, along with the elevation of 937 ft, but it does sound like our BUCKEYE? How bout it BUCKEYE? GREAT JOB! Love the ribbing.

not to much happening tonight still setting up auctions for the 23, 24, and 25th. not use to doing it ahead of time I presently have about 30 auctions going to start this weekend but still have about another 40 that I have taken pics of and I'm guessing at least another 20 to take pics of so I'm about 1/3 way done and already beat from doing it lol.

No chief no NS for sale in fact sorry to say have none in my rolling stock . I have just about all rails except that and csx lol. Still debating on a couple if there going to go or cancel auction befor it starts lol.

Have to work thursday but only 6am to 3 pm thank goodness. Then off friday. No black friday shopper here did it once that was enough for me. Wife says not for her either the one time we did it about 6 or 7 years ago was enough no more for either of us lol.

Growing old can be tough, I'm not sure with modern medicine that it's really worth it. On the last Mother's Day with my Mom our oldest son was home from college so he and I made a quick trip in to visit her and she didn't know him, it broke his heart as he had a great relationship with her. It is part of the circle of life but not so pleasant.

All is about ready here for the the big day tomorrow. Just a few finishing touches and we'll be set, it's been too long since we've all been together so it's going to be a fantastic weekend. With just the two of us now we don't prepare the big meals like we used to so this will a great excuse to pull out all the stops as we really do like to cook and enjoy the results.

Trains are ready for my best little buddy. Her parents mentioned that we are going to Grandpa & Grandmas and she went and got her shoes! Will be fun to have a house full tomorrow.

If you are traveling, stay safe, better to be late than sorry. All--Have A Wonderful Thanksgiving.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio
Where the temp is 61 deg and headed to SNOW tomorrow!

Today we will be laying Atlas S gauge track at the musuem for the return loop. On Friday we are having a "Special Day for Special Kid" that are wheel chair bound. It should be a fun day for all! :thumb:

Jon - I can relate to your sons pain. When my Mom was near the end, she didn't konw who I was and I was there every day. It is part of the process, sorry to say.

Chuck - Gas prices have drop for the last two days. Last night it was at $2.88/gl. Still no deal compaired to last year. :curse:

Here is the rough in of our mountain. The top track will be S gauge and one will also be inside the mountain.

Good morning folks

It is warming up again. It was 47 F as I left for work this morning. High today is supposed to be 62 F. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 67 F with rain. Hopefully the rain will be later and the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade will go off without a hitch. The Philadelphia parade is the oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the country. It was started by Gimbels (of course that meant that Macys had to have a parade also). When the Gimbels closed a local TV station and Boscovs Department Stores stepped in to sponsor the parade. Now that Channel 6 is owned by Disney the parade has been getting more and more high tech every year. Also one of the big parts of the parade is the Boy Scouts marching and collecting food for the annual Channel 6 Boys Scouts Holiday Food Drive.

No modeling last night. I did get a chance to run my new Bachmann RF-16 Sharknose locos. I got the Baldwin Demonstrator scheme. They did well easily pulling a 24 car train around the layout at slow speed and normal speed. Here is a shot of them.

Turkey day around our household is subdued. We have a small family consisting of the wife, two kids, my father-in-law, and myself. We will have a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Afterwards the wife will kick into Christmas decorating mode. Black Friday we plan to be no where near any stores or malls until late in the day if at all. We would like to go over to the church and clean out the Cub Scout closet.

I hope everybody has a good day and a Happy Thanksgiving.

HI GIZ,
44 and grey here today. Going up to 64?
TOM, gas at 2.88 /gal.? YUZ GIZ are probably using that corn gas additive? Ethynol? They say beer prices are to go up because no one is planting hops, and everyone is planting corn for ethynol. Whats this world coming to got to get our priorities straight.
Trains tonite...

Good Morning all,
Quick stop by to check in. Did a little track work yesterday as I think I found a better way. Will hopefully get to do some wiring today, but more pressing issue. Our dog was not himself last night, just wouldn't get up and play like normal. He also has a rigid abdomen, so when I am done here, I will bring him to the vets.
In case I don't get the chance, I want to wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving. Please remember to be thankful for all that you have been blessed with. May y'all have safe travelling mercies and plenty of good stories to share when you return. We will be heading to north Georgia and hopefully a stop at "Memory Station" when we head back on friday.
God Bless,
dennis

Morning from a damp and cold Chicago where I don't envy anyone travelling today - snow expected later - hopefully after I get to go home. The daughter gets her wisdom teeth out today - so she'll have a few days to recuperate. More turkey for me! And a Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Dennis and everyone else too. Hope the dog is OK.

Tom, that mountain looks great! I like verticality on layouts. Makes 'em look bigger.

TomPM, I've always been partial to Baldwins.

I hope to doodle track layouts in my 10 am meeting...

Boy, fuel sure is cheap in Lionelville; it is $3.39 here in Chicago, proud home of the highest gas taxes in our great nation.
