John F, why are we not using E85? A lot of the vehicles now are Flex-fuel standard [GM, Ford and Chrysler]. E85 is 85% alcohol and only 15% gasoline. Why not available except in the mid west? The oil companies and the government officials have held down eythnol plants and its production. In NC the Dept of Natural Resources has made it hard on permitting those plants. Why? Because the too smart PHD microbiologist say it is not as clean as compressed natural gas. Well, compressed natural gas has proven not to be the fuel to use as there is not enough infrasturcture. You run out of nautral gas, call the rollback. Can't find E85, put in regular gasoline and keep going. We are being screwed by the oil industry and our government.

Too much to go into, nor do I want to jam up the caboose, the logic behind this twisted mess is found in my layout construction thread.

Chief - Maybe we should go into the MTH Switch fixing business. When they work, they really are great, but when they don't, it is very hard to tell what is wrong.

Big weekend on tap in Buckeyeland. Parties and more parties. Free beer! Free food! Loose women! Doesn't get much better than that!!

Good Morning.........
It is a cold 34 degrees. A little snow on the ground. Going up to 43 today.
I see a few guys are up early this morning. Or still up from last night. Going to be a busy day. Have some stops to make in town. Few chores to do for the wife. She is improving with her foot.
Maybe run trains later.
Buckeye is having a good weekend.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio
where it is trying to turn white outside!

Chief - I gave the info to his father. I don't believe that they live together and the son works afternoon shift, so he may not have it from his dad yet. He will this weekend and should be calling you then. :thumb:

Frank 53 - your layout is really looking great. Too bad you don't live closer, then you could help me at the museum.

Buckeye - glad to hear that you are now ready for the BIG day of running trains for Roger Coners TrainFest!

Today we will be working on the return loop of the S gauge, which is above the O gauge loop. :eek:ops:

Good morning folks

It was a quite raw as I headed out the door this morning. It was 42 F with a 16 MPH wind blowing which made it feel much colder. The high toady is supposed to reach 48 F. It looks like we have rain coming in for the weekend.

I did not make it here yesterday. I had a rough day. It started with having to take my daughter to the orthodontist to have her braces looked at. She got to school a little late but it was not too bad for her. She missed her homeroom and about the first 5 minutes of math. I just have a problem with these doctors who only have hours during the school day for the kids. You’re a kids orthodontist, why is your last appointment 3:30 PM? Once I got into the office it was straight into a meeting. Then from there I was putting out fires the rest of the day. It was after 9 PM last night before I got to visit any of the railroad forums I haunt.

No modeling again last night.

This weekend will be busy. Tonight the Cub scouts have a Bowling and Pizza party. Tomorrow morning we collect the Scouting for Food bags and bring them to a local Food Bank. We then have the grocery shopping and (I know some of you don’t want to hear this) then some Christmas shopping.

I have two Walthers coil cars on the work bench that I need to finish installing the grab irons. On the layout I would like to detail the Farm House area some more.

I hope everybody has a good day.

I'll join in and agree [didn't think I would ever say that]. :wave7: [all the Buckeyes in a row]

Cold here. 42 now but been down below freezing. Chuck, who was bragging about nothing happening when I told you not to mess with Mother Nature and Chief? See, snohio on you.

Frank, great job. Come to Roseyville and help me with scenery. OH, could not get "hiding swtiches" to open on you site. That part still under construction?

Kurt, glad to have you drop by. Lots fo good stuff on frank53's web site.

Well, I the Fat Cat [ thing for kids and their special account] at the State Employees Credit Union up the street. Have to dress up in a funny fat cat suit for 2 hours. See what Mayor gets you into. Actually it was the pretty young ladies that work there got me to do it.:v8:

Tom:

Thanks. Regarding the Museum, I could think of much worse ways to spend a few weeks. All that space - all those scenery opportunities.

But the Ohio in winter part . . .

(Frank stands to left of Chief and replies):

Thanks Chief. Roseyville being south of Ohio, there's a better chance than Tom's gracious offer above. Hiding switches is still under construction. I have been too busy to touch the website for quite some time now.

HI GIZ,
Col and windy here today high of about 43 with 10-20-MPH winds. Good nite to stay in and run my trains.
BRUTUS, yes I will be running my BBs tonite the Lionmaster one and the new one. Just got brand new keg o beer, OLD MIL, so I'm ready. And yes GOLF season is over now for 2 weeks. Ended up 7wins 7 losses and 2 ties against BRO. Like my football coach use to say "its tied and a tie is like kissing your sister."
FRANK 53 is that the cut up tile you are using for the cliffs? Looks great whatever it is?
TOM whens your next open house at the club? Its that time of year. The one in my hometown starts their open houses the day after Thanksgiving and has them every weekend till mid January. Their club is an HO club but deplicks the whole area. Pretty neat.
I'm going for pheasants tomorrow with BRO. Hope to get two more like last week?
All have a good one.

Hey Keith, nice hearing from you!

Returned an extra switch I had, and picked up a Church, UP Cubbaboose, crossing lights, and Lionel infrared detector.

Still trying to figure out my 4400 sound issues. Checked the batteries in the other engines to see about switching to see if the battery is indeed the problem. But of course the other batteries are a different voltage, so no can do. Was going to see about buying a battery charger, but they didn't have them. wall1

Even though the engine is under warranty, hate to send it back for a defective battery. Play with it this weekend.

Did get some good news. I stripped the drive gear in my dremel tool. Contacted their cust serv. they had a program that could upgrade to latest and greatest for $36, as oppossed to $32 for repair. Sent it in for upgrade exchange, they sent the new one and covered it under warranty replacement. $0

Working on Control Panel design, want to work electrical this weekend!!!

Have a great DAY and TGIF !!!
