I didn't see anyone posting yet... sorry if I jumped the gun.

I have 3 pics for this week.

This first one, if you squint right, you can make out the mountain complete with trees, rockface, portals... ok, maybe you better do more than squint.

Here is a close up of one of my fright work horses:

And here we have the Loewy paint schemed passenger loco with no passenger cars yet.

Great start to the Weekly Photo Fun thread DeckRoid!:thumb:

Here's a runby I caught last night. Some cars were in the first runby I did, but it's not like I have hundreds of them:rolleyes::mrgreen:

Accurail wooden reefer, MDT (NYC Early Bird service)
Picture_0270.JPG

MFG. unkown (Tyco?) reefer, Bangor and Aroostook. Yes, that is a horn hook coupler towards the lower right corner. This thing has truck mounted couplers, and I wanted to put this thing into service, so I replaced one coupler on my orange reefer above and on the next reefer so this thing could run in my trains. Together these three cars make up a semi-permament consist of reefers!

Athearn, woden boxcar w/ steel ends. I know this shot sucks, but the camera was loosing battery power. THis is the other end car of the reefer consist.
Picture_0268.JPG

P2K 10,000 gallon tank car. There is some wiring that goes around the tank itself, but you can't see it here.
Picture_0267.JPG

P2K center steel cupola cabbose, CNW. Yeah, this shot sucks too, but it's not like you haven't seen it before, right?

I went up to my LHS yesterday to get some WS trees and came home with a new F7 Kato and decoder instead. I posted a closeup of this engine in the Trainspotters ID section. I have got to do something about those silly red plastic horns on top though.

Here's one that's several years old, the loco belongs to Pete (Sumper) and the pic was taken when he visited. What a great train he had running that night!

DeckRoid - I know the feeling, I have to use my imagination on my mountain and portals as well! Love that Northern Pacific, I really like that scheme. :thumb:
CNWman - Nice Runby! My daughter would love those popsicle cars.
TrainNut - Nice engine! F units keep showing up on the railroads lately, may have to get one as they are now "modern" engines.
jeffrey-wimberl - That engine looks really good.:thumb:
Gary Pfeil - Great scene! Great engine!
chessie4155 - Nice scene!

Are you sure you really want to know the magic? See behind the curtain?

Just kidding.

It's actually really simple. I just use the cloning tool in paint shop pro and clone another section of the trampoline over the pushpin.

Now see, the horns on your engine look almost real and not near as plasticky as they do on mine!:mrgreen: Beautiful weathering job... first class right down to the imitation of spilled fuel down the side of the tank. I especially like the broken headlight. It appears that you forgot to put the front windshield back in after installing the decoder though!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

That's a neat shot Jesso. Did you have your wife climb the telephone pole on the other side of the tracks to take the picture of you and your daughter?

Sorry guys.... feeling honery tonight.

The holding yard at Kingsport Steel is full of hoppers and steel coil cars. I didn't have the space or inclination to model the steel industry more accurately so this three track yard is a place where loads and empties are set out and picked up (with imagination allowing the loads to be switched to places beyind this scene).

Ralph, the way you've modelled your steel mill really makes it look like part of a much bigger facility, and I really like the crane!! :thumb:

For my contribution i decided to take stroll downtown. Hope u like. :)
