CNW : I think it was mostly hail here too. It accumulated very fast & was slush on the roads this morning. I hope that's it for winter !! LOL !!
Thanks, John

Good evening folks

It was raining with a temperature of 51 F as I headed out this morning. The rain is supposed to stop and the high will be 54 F. Cold is predicated to move with night time temperatures in the 30’s and highs only in the 40’s for the rest of the week.

I survived the public meeting last night with all body parts still attached. It was rough meeting but I was not the center of attention or frustration. That was directed at our construction people and our traffic people. It was the old thing we want you to fix the road but do without distributing us. It is kind of hard to build a couple of miles of retaining walls along the road without tearing up and closing the road. They also want you to do all in couple of days. Unfortunately the meeting was at one point dominated by a couple of people who just seem to be mad at the government in general and used the public forum to shout over everyone and grind their axes. Once they were reminded that they needed to behave and have respect for the other people in the room the meeting went as well as can be expected. My biggest issue was the three hour drive to get to the meeting place. Coming home only took about two hours.

No modeling got done last night.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Pretty nice day here today, except it was COLD. I think Fall has flew and Winter is here.

No trains for a while as I have been working on a doll house for granddaughter #3. I decided to keep track of the time I spend on it just to see how long it does take me. I rarely spend more than 3 hours a day on it as it is to tedious. So far I have 25 hours into it. Probably only 25% done.

Did preorder a few Atlas cars for delivery in April 08, some express refers and a covered hopper.

Grandson just stopped in for some "pond water" for school, to look at under the microscope.

Take care,

John

Good morning folks

The cooler weather is here. It was 37 F when I got in the van this morning. The high is supposed to be 52. The stores around here are already putting toys on sale and pushing Christmas, so the wife has begun some of the Christmas shopping for the kids. I am not sure but this maybe Santa’s last year. My daughter is 12 but she shows no signs of giving him up but the Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy are gone. My 9 year-old son, the logical one, is asking for scientific explanations of how Santa does his job. We may lose him first.

No modeling last night. I did run some trains, however.

Congratulations Chief!:thumb:

I hope everybody has a good day.

Cold good morning to all the gang. Wife drove her 4Runner for the first time this AM. Yes, got it Thrusday and would not drive it. Loved it. Packing for early flight tomorrow to Yankeeland [CT] for a Cabela's Grand Opening. Last one unless they beg real hard NEXT year but only one. Want to run Big Boy before leaving town. Have a good one.

Chief, Does this mean that you might find time to come to York next year?

Good answer on the Santa thing. Let him see Polar Express and then ring the bell. Tell him he must still believe as he can hear it ring.

Packed and ready for a Rebel raid into Yankeeland [CT] early tomorrow AM. Back home Sunday evening. 4 AM wake up for airport. Popcorn and bed. Later.

Good evening, all!

Chief, have a safe trip!

Busy day today - drove up to Birmingham to make some hospital visits. Leaves are really beautiful now - lots of gold, yellow and red leaves along the way.

We've got a freeze warning tonight, first of the fall. May get down into the upper 20's where I live. Kinda glad to see the cold weather arrive.
