Assembled my new Walthers Water Tower. Stills need painting.
IMG_2587_2.jpg

The helix is making it's way up. It's actually turning out pretty good. Depending on the train, a double header will be needed, but I think it'll work out.
IMG_2588_2.jpg

And this morning I got the basics down for the staging yard. Mainly so I can have some different types of trains to run up the helix with for testing.

Another fine thread o' pics! Thanks everyone! Nazgul, those are startling photos of destruction!

My contribution is an A-B combination of Penn Central F units leading a mixed freight past the tail end of a KP&W drag heading the opposite way at West Mill. The aggregate plant at Marion can be seen up above in the distance.

Here is a picture of a 1:20.3 ( G scale) Logging railroad M.O.W. train I built a year or so back from Ozark Miniatures flat car kits. It is pictured on my friends Red Rock Railway.

Here is a long forgotten project that is being resurrected. It is a Cary E-6 shell on a Hobbytown drive. Everything still works too.

I just posted these in another thread but if you don't mind, I'll post them here as well... I just finished this section of my layout. This place started out as a mom n pop place but ma makes a killer bowl of chili and before long, they had to expand and add the dining car to accomodate the Friday night crowds. Rumor has it that the Z car club wants to start holding a little car show here every weekend. I'll post pictures if they ever get around to it.

I finished weathering 8 boxcars. My Lehigh & New England U23B locos were brought into service to break the boxcars in along with a few other cars.

Deano: Cool pics..Is #2142 a non DB GP38? with a slant nose?
your 100% correct Mark:mrgreen: , its NON DB and has the 88 hood:thumb: . its a rare engine in my collection, the ONLY EMD hood unit i have without DB:winki: . interesting fact, UP also had/has a few SD38's without DB too, they are NOW used as UPY's(yard engines):winki: .

I was trying to make it out there yesterday as well but by the time my littlest one woke up from his nap, it was too late. What'ja think of that ride? ...15 minutes out and 15 minutes back for a 30 minute ride. They've got nearly 14 miles of track out there now.

Scott, what is Savage?

Loren

I found their website where it says: "Savage is a Creative Solutions company that develops and operates (i) materials management systems, (ii) transportation systems and (iii) related facilities, tailored to meet each customer's unique needs."

I'm still not quite sure what they do.
