How many RailAmerica lines can we post pics of?

RailAmerica is a collection of some 41 shortlines and regional roads in the USA and Canada. RailAmerica ::: About Us

I saw my first one (The Otter Tail Valley RR) in Fergus Falls , MN the other weekend while visiting friends. I'm guessing several members of The Gauge live near some of the other lines the RailAmerica group. It might be fun to see how many of them we can capture and post!

Given that only a small portion of RailAmerica lines have locomotives in their own paint scheme or in the corporate paint scheme I bet members here will have a difficult time even knowing that a line is nearby.

The Indiana & Ohio isn't far from here. They originally were independent until they sold out to Rail Tex (or something like that) and then on to Rail America.

I don't have any pictures though as I don't care for modern railroading. I just thought I'd mention the IO to contribute.

The short line Virginia Southern Railroad has one CN in black and red, one in tan primer, and on that is owned my a locomotive leasing company.

Goderich and Exeter has rights through our town, but the trains are scarce -- I think there might be at most one trip a day. GEXR has locos painted in about 5 different schemes.
I heard that CN is planning to take back the lines that they run on.

Here we go, two SDIY units (one with SDIV reporting marks still), and a CORP unit. All here in San Diego, on the SDIY.

They've also got two RMPX units, Fmr CN GP40-2LW's. Thats all I've seen on the SDIY, though there pretty darn well could be more.

Boredom makes us do strange things...

Northbound Indiana & Ohio train 401 passes the farmer's co-op north of Hamler, Ohio on the afternoon of September 15, 2007. Leading are a leased Susquehanna SD70M and an IORY SD40-2 in the official paint scheme (which dates back to their RailTex days). On this date the train had about forty mix cars for the Canadian National in Flat Rock. Nikon N80, 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 AF-D, Provia 100F.
