Whoah. Deja vu there Jeffrey. Night shots are tough to do and that one looks pretty good. I've always found that it can be hard to keep some of these plastic buildings from "glowing" when you put a nice bright little light bulb inside.

FACT- want to be seen and heard, POST TO THE WPF thread:thumb: , i hate to admit it, but there are sections of this forum i rarely go to:eek:ops: , and others are the same:winki: , but when you post your modeling pics, proto pics, and even progress pics(we LOVE progress pics:winki: )HERE, its the BEST way for 99% of us to know what your up to:winki::mrgreen: .... -Deano
Deano, unfortunately that seems to be the case. I say unfortunately 'cause the last set of pictures I posted to my layout thread received zero comments. I know I should not care but I like feedback and I like to hear what people think about my work. The number of comments I received is in direct correlation to my desire to post more pictures. So, I figured if I wanted any feedback (which is important to me) I might as well join the crowd and post 'em here. This is the first time I've posted any pictures in the Photo fun category for quite some time. "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated." (Star Trek)

Many great shots so far, but I think my favorite is the construction scene!
Thank you for the compliment viperman. Funny thing is, I set that scene up to simply show off my the construction equipment and now that I've done that, I will probably vacuum up all the dirt and get on with the buildings that are scheduled to go there!

I hope you guys don't mind the repetition but the sheriff showed up a little while ago and was giving these guys a hard time. Something about dust control and where in blue blazes was the water truck 'cause the downtown businesses were complaining. I hope he doesn't notice that the permit has not been properly posted.

Again, sorry for the repetition but I love this little scene and I thought I'd try and capture it from a different direction before it got attacked by the vacuum.

Another shot of a great scene Trainnut!!! I like how you moved the machinery around :thumb: :thumb:

Just a little note, I dont know if the back stableizer legs on that backhoe are able to move up and down but if they are, you should put them in the up postion if there using the front bucket, those are only down when the back bucket is in use, just a suggestion :mrgreen:

Mark, GREAT SHOTS!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb: (as usual:winki::mrgreen: )

Steve:wav: , GLAD YOUR BACK!:winki::mrgreen: WOW!!!:eeki: , i know your NOT finished with the mine but, it looks SLAP AWESOME!!!:thumb::thumb::mrgreen: WELL DONE MY FRIEND, WELL DONE!:bravo:

CNJ999, GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK posting to this thread!:thumb::mrgreen: , FANTASTIC SHOT!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Ralph, GREAT SHOT of your KP&W switcher!:thumb::thumb: though i REALLY LIKE your NEW KP&W freight car paint scheme, i am glad you DID NOT change the engines, they look GREAT with the orange and blue:winki::mrgreen::thumb:.

TrainNut, i am STRONGLY thinking you should KEEP the construction scene on the layout:eek: , look at the GREAT responses your getting on it:winki::mrgreen: . BTW, i REALLY like the last shot of it:thumb::thumb::thumb: .

Josh, OUTSTANDING JOB SO FAR!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

*****************************************************
FOR A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE...:smilie:
I like steamers, and really for me, the bigger the better:winki: , so i REALLY LIKE articulated steamers:thumb::thumb::thumb: . I have four articulated steamers, a Big Boy, 2 Challengers, and an SP AC12(cab forward).

A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE had purchased a 2-6-6-2 awhile back, and like me, he has about 5000 things on his project list:roller: , and unfortunately the 2-6-6-2 isn't that close to the top of the list, well, not as close to the top as i would like it to be:winki::119: .

ANYWAYS, he does SLAP STUPENDOUS WORK:worship: , and i know finished his 2-6-6-2 would blow the cab doors right off ALL four of MY articulated steamers:eeki::winki::mrgreen: , so i am posting three of MY four articulateds in hopes it may inspire him to move his 2-6-6-2 up the list:winki::smilie: . :deano: -Deano

I know, that bugs me too and I'm about ready to cut'em off and glue them in the up position. The front bucket does not swivel and the stabilizer legs do not change position. But hey, all three were only $5 each so I'm not going to complain too much!

I have to admit that it is going to be kind of hard to just vacuum it away. That is why I wanted to get some pictures posted of it so I could remember it. I do like the construction scene, just... not there. I have an extension to the town planned for that particular location (hence the construction:mrgreen:) and while it is a neat scene, that area looks kind of vertically challenged right now. I'm sure I will be able to find another area where I can set up a similar scene permanent like. I'm wondering though how the characteristics of the dirt will change when soaked with scenic cement and if that will ruin the effect. I can't really have a whole scene of loose dirt 'cause the first time somebodies lookin' at it and AHCHOOOO:eek:!!! Well, you get the picture.

hey if they were $5 each, I wouldnt be complaining either, heck of a deal for some fine looking N scale construction equipment :thumb: :mrgreen:
