Ready Built Structures

Are there any other manufaturers that make ready built structures besides Bachmann and Model Power? I've found out the hard way that I just don't have the skill it takes to build these tiny little houses. I'm not finding what I want with either Bachmann or Model power in the way of buildings but it seems like everything else costs an arm and a leg even for kits. If anybody knows of anything else, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Nope. I don't even want to try and build another N scale structure let alone detail it.
Tiny parts, big hands, no skillz.

However, this looks interesting: Table Top Towns Main Page
Resin cast buildings. You can get them painted or unpainted. Not too alarmingly priced comapred to some of the stuff I've seen.

Hmm...not sure about N scale:confused: , but woodland scenics and Walther's Cornerstone "built-ups" are pretty good quaility...for HO:winki: .

they are pretty cheap but they skimp on detail, but if you dont want to assemble or detail the structures those may be the way to go.but id still try to get nicer kits close to the veiwer and these towards the back.youll also want more variety I.E stores, movie theaters, barber shops,etc.--josh

now you could use the cornerstone kits for up-close structures and the cheaper ones for far away on the table.this way it will keep price down yet still give a nice lookin layout.--josh

There really is no close and far away on my layout.
You forget it's only 3x6. :D

And I'm only going to have room for a small selection, I want it to predominantly be houses and make it look like a little wide spot in the road deep south Hillbilly town.

if you only want a few structures and theres no "deep spot" in your layout id go with the walthers cornerstone.they have good detail for the money and since you dont need muh it wont break the bank or piss of the wife :p--josh

All I'm finding when I google is the same Model Power and Bachmann stuff unless I want kits which is what I'm trying to avoid.

Atlas has the Kate's Colonial House and the Barb's Bungalow in built form.

Woodland Scenics is in process of releasing their "Built and Ready" in N Scale, but no houses yet.

Check out the line of Hornby Lyddle End ready built structures for British N-scale. They are slightly larger at approx 1/150 but acceptable and many are adaptable for use on American layouts. You can see them at the Hornby web site: Home - Hornby

How about buying ready built structures online ?
A ready built structure seems kind of fragile to be shipped by mail ?.Do they pack it properly ?
