Cool New Haven and Chessie diesels!

using my U-boat identifying skills, i'm gonna guess its a B23-7? its a Dash 7, I know that much!

Well, i'm getting alot more stuff on my layout done

First in the new stuff-

a loading dock! its pretty much sheet plastic, but i'll paint it and detail it later. so far its nice, and i cut so that it fits my layout perfectly.

This scene will be the next place to get an overhaul... there will soon be a grade crossing right here!

Allright, which one of you yahoos got in there and graffitied up 88's fence? ...which I have to confess, I did not even notice until I looked at it for the third time. It's kind of funny how we just kind of zone out graffiti like it's not even there.

Dear Chris
you were close It's a B30-7 brand new or close to it.
Noticed the original NS box car. Great photos and modeling. Is that an E33 in Conrail? I never got to see one of them.
Charlie

Yeah, i knew it was one of those! That is an E33. I really want to get a E44 model, but no one makes them, and i can't find any easy way to build one.

first of all, nice job Chessie and Eightyeight. your pics really caught my eye. great job everyone else.
as some may know, I started building an abandoned bridge. well, i got it almost complete. here are some pics.

I still need to weather it.

here is the bridge that will be in service.
it still needs some weathering and some other details.

Ralph

Remember...it's for fun!
Ed: That pic has a lot of atmosphere and I'm not talking about the clouds in the background! :) Nice!

Chessie4155: I love loco service shots! Say, did you see the cover of the current Model Railroader? I think you'll appreciate it.

Charlie I've really been enjoying your proto photos! Keep 'em coming!

GEC: I'm liking that loading dock. Your loco close ups really make those electric units look massive!

HOtrainman: That bridge is coming along beautifully! What are you using for bolts on top of those boards?

Here's my contribution. Passenger service on my layout is now limited to this RDC running behind Williams Yard.

88 - :sign1: first thing I saw on the fence was "The Gauge # 1"!

green_elite_cab - I can't tell, but does it have something to do with the object to the right of 4603?

Great Shots everyone! I'm going home tomorrow, so I'll be able to post pics soon.

if you mean its right, then yes, it has alot to do with it... don't you love it when you make weird errors like that? in my brain Its like "cool, this is an awesome picture... wait a minute.... no one will notice!"

Slekjr- neat abandoned gas station. I always like to poke around abandoned things, but i've gotten less brave. I wanted to check out that bunker down in cape may, but i didn't have the stomach for it... with my luck it would fall down on top of me.

HOtrainman- cool scratch built bridge!

Ralph- Awesome RDC! I also like th rusty PC boxcars in the foreground, its looks really realistic!

and the horrifying thing is that i still have more parts in the mail on the way! antennas, horns, headlights, class lights and (shudder:cry:) wind deflectors are on the way. I always hate the wind deflectors, they are hair thin pieces of brass held on by formed wire eye bolts. I musthate myself because i install them anywhere i can, but they are always the first thing to get damaged. They do look cool when they are on new though.

GEC: Things wrong with the photo:

-It has green marker lights signifying a second section of this train?
-The Giant Atlas Switchmotors, and unballasted track? (Just kidding)
-No Cantenary? (looks like you're starting though! YAAY! :) :D )
-That you're the first person I've ever seen playing with Bachmann's E33?

Why don't more people own the E33?

I'll give you a clue, Conrail stopped electric operations in 1981. Whats out of place?

Personally, i don't know why more people don't model them. I have pictures of them on N&W, some with their old Virginian paint scheme. even when they went up to the northeast they were common and colorful. I supposes they are still kind of a specialty unit. only us eaterners with our juice have a need for electrics.

Great pics, guys :thumb::thumb::wave:.

I got a sample pack of miniNatur grass tufts. So I spent some hours "gardening". (I don’t know if these miniNatur tufts are the same as Silflor tufts, but Scenic Express has both logos on their website :confused:).
