Layout progress seems to have stalled. I'm just too busy with school stuff, and i just wanted to say that i've not forgotten you guys.

Alex

EDIT: I'm also starting a new layout. I'll keep you updated

I confess. I've been very lazy. very very lazy indeed.

I'll try and get photos up today. When your brother is addicted to runescape, its really hard to get to the computer.

have you though about using a Double slip tunrout instead of 2 sepreate turnouts in the second picture? the track might fit together alitle easier, and it would save space.

Yeah, it crossed my mind, but, i heard that they are expensive and unreliable, so i decided not to, and i also got alot of track for free.

Also, i like the look i've got at the moment.

They can be expensive, but they certianly work, you just need to set them up right. switches are one of the craziest things on a railroad. they all need to be super precise, and as things get complicated, its harder to reach that precision.

yes, but i did notice the track looked kinda at an odd angle, and if there are any gaps in the rails do to fudging, it may hamper the performance of your railroad. a doubleslip may better fit.

yeah, i get what you mean!!!!!!! my last layout had some bad track on it.

anyway, the track is laid, so, i dont really want to change it now. there is plenty of room anyway.
