Charlie:wav: , on the Rock Valley Sub, we just don't have time for much car washing, to busy operating:winki::119: . Honestly, dad has weathered some of his cabooses(and freight cars), but it hasn't been for a long while, to busy with the his layout to take time out for weathering there:winki: .

Matt:wav: , NICE CABOOSE!:thumb::thumb:

All of you fellows have done a great job. I've never seen so many good looking caboose models. You should be very proud of your accomplishments. I'd post some pictures of mine but have never gotten anything but errors when I try to upload one.

Charlie:wav: , just start an album in the Gallery here, then copy the pic from there and paste it to your next post in this thread:winki: .

OR....upload the pics to your photobucket account(or where ever) and paste them to here:winki: .

OR...just send them to ME, and I'll post 'em for you:winki: .

Neat proto/model comparison shots TrainNut!

Well, after looking at all of the bay window cabins above I decided to head over to one of my local hobby shops that has a bargain basement of second hand equipment. I found this caboose (with magnetic couplers!) for $3.99! I can't do as nice a job representing the PC bay window cabin I saw in the Walther's catalog but I think Susan will come through for me and buy it as a gift. She takes my "hints" seriously. :)

I plan to paint my newest acquisition in the slate blue and orange KP&W scheme of my freelanced road. I'll post a pic when its done.

I believe the Cedar Valley Western scheme is probably some one's freelance. There were several box cars in this scheme and some loocomotives too. It made me a little sad to see all of this work on the second hand shelf and made me wonder if the former owner is OK, just decided to get out of the hobby, or is changing scales.... In any case, just as in the real world, equipment gets sold and repainted for a new road.
Maybe model rail fans will watch the KP&W cabin roll by, check their records and say, "Oh yeah, that's a former Cedar Valley Western caboose!"

Lester, we've been having trouble loading photos directly to The Gauge for a few weeks now. The photos you are seeing were either loaded up to the Gauge Gallery and linked here or else they come from a photo hosting site like photobucket. Either of these options is easy to use as we wait for our direct laoding feature to get repaired.

I'm envious of all these beautiful cabs. this is my model, a slightly modified N&W C3. The weathering was done by Mother Nature.
I need Deano's dad to keep her looking better.
all my ho stuff is PRR. 75 miles from here.
Keep up the nice pictures
Great jobs guys.
